We had a 70 foot ash tree that needed to be removed, right in the middle of my shade perennial garden loaded with some special plants. We did dig up some plants on one side to give a place to land the tree/branches as they came down, but for the most part the garden didn't have to be disturbed and all the plants came out of it unscathed! Higher Ground was very careful of the garden and surroundings and did a great job.

We had a great experience with Higher Ground. Incredibly prompt and easy in communicating with us, very professional, got us into their schedule very quickly. We would 100% have them help us again with any tree needs!

We have had Higher Ground come take care of multiple trees over the past few years - some planned, and some urgent. Jesse is very professional, knowledgeable, competent, competitively priced, quick to respond, and extremely easy to work with. After shopping around a few times for quotes, we always ended up going with Higher Ground for our trees because we trusted them to do it right and not over charge us. With our wooded lot, there’s no doubt we’ll have Jesse and his crew back again in the future. We highly recommend that you allow them a chance to earn your trust, too!

Jesse is a real professional! They took down a try for us last November and then returned as promised to take out the stump. We had a tree in the backyard that had some limbs busted from a storm and they returned two weeks later to take care of them. Very reasonably priced and knowledgeable of trees. Highly recommended.

I used Higher Ground Tree service this April to take down about 8 trees. Jesse and his daughters did an amazing job. Not only did they have to work around the weather ,soft ground, one extremely large tree, they very courteous to my schedule (3rd shifter). They did everything we agreed on and more. If you need work done these are the people to call.

We had Higher Ground remove a tree from our yard and trim up another very large tree. Jesse and his family were amazing to work with. They were prompt in arriving when scheduled, professional, friendly and very conscientious when working in our yard and around our house. Their work is amazing, it was fun to watch Jesse climb the trees and work. Clean-up in our yard was quick and incredible. It was hard to tell that an 80 foot tree had been taken down. There was very little sawdust left in the grass and all branches and twigs were taken away. I cannot say enough good things about this family owned/operated company. I would not hesitate to call Jesse again and have in fact referred neighbors and friends to him for their tree work. It was a pleasure to get to know this family.

I am so happy with the work that Jesse and son did on 2 large and challenging branches between houses. I did a lot of research before choosing a company because of the challenging nature of the task. I chose Higher ground because they were most affordable, insured and helped me feel comfortable about the job. I was pleasantly surprised to find out they were a family business, and even more pleased that on top of doing a fantastic job on the tree, they left my yard/driveway/sidewalk cleaner than it was when they started. We're delighted with Jesse and crew. They carefully, safely, and efficiently took down thirteen of our tall pines and topped three others, then cleaned up completely, leaving our property in perfect condition. Higher Ground is more about people than a mere business, and I would give them ten stars if possible.

Higher Ground did a fantastic/awesome job on trimming an extra-extra large maple in my back yard. I was astonished how the tree was transformed from being a bothersome, ugly tree to a jaw-dropping work of natural art. It was amazing to watch Jesse rope and swing his way through this huge tree while at the same time expertly trimming with a chain saw. Higher Ground worked extremely well with the power company in coordinating the job. Higher Ground had the best prices and are very responsive. They will be the first company I will call for any tree work in the future. Excellent cleanup. 5 stars and more for Higher Ground. I would highly recommend that you call them for an estimate – they’re prices are extremely reasonable compared to some of the “outlandish” prices I received from the competition.

We hired Higher Ground to remove a tree stump from our front yard and we were very happy with their work.



They were in and out very quickly and when we got home from work and looked at our yard, it was as if the stump was never there at all. Several of our neighbors were also very impressed with the results and asked for Higher Ground's contact information, as they have some projects of their own they need help with.



Jesse, the owner, was very prompt, courteous and gave us a very reasonable deal. We would absolutely hire them again.

We had some damaged arborvitaes that had to be cut down and the stumps dug out of the ground. I and my neighbors did that part of the work, but then we had a disposal problem, as the stumps and rootballs were too big and heavy for normal pickup. I emailed about half a dozen tree removal companies on the Saturday of Memorial Day weekend, and Jesse is the only one who responded. We agreed on a fee to pick up the stumps and cut wood, and he and his crew took care of it this morning. My impression of Jesse is that he and his crew would be great to work with on any job.

Jesse and crew raised the canopy on my trees, took care of problem branches, brush, and cleaned up after themselves. Jesse knows what he's doing and, certainly, knew better than I did what needed to be done to clean up the trees on my property and give things a better and more groomed look than they have had in some time. The price of the job was very agreeable and the work was exceptional. You need not look anywhere else after you find Higher Ground.

This company deserves more than 5 stars. They were very reasonably priced, were nice enough to cut my tree down and get me in before a big heavy wet snowstorm, and managed to remove my tree when several other companies refused to due to power lines and close proximity to houses. They did a wonderful job and were super pleasant to work with. I will recommend them to anyone who needs tree service of any kind. Thanks Jesse! You Rock!

Higher Ground is one of the most professional businesses I have ever dealt with. Jesse, the owner, was accommodating to our needs and careful in his work. He is very, very good at what he does. He responded immediately to my request, quoted the job quickly, and told me exactly when he would be able to schedule it. He took down a large dead tree in our back yard carefully and methodically without touching anything nearby. I recommend Higher Ground highly to anyone.

Jesse of Higher Ground was a great listener, and met our needs perfectly. The work was done very carefully to avoid damage to the surrounding landscape and completed as quickly and quietly as possible. Final cleanup was performed the same way.
