I own a rental that Dan has cut the grass for a couple years intermittently. It is a very small lot, and during the hot summer only needs cutting every two weeks, which he has done in the past. This year I called upon him to do the same in May. He said for the first few cuts prior to summer, I want to cut it every week because of the growth and after it warms up I will revert to every two weeks for you. I said, OK fine. So it took me two months to rent out the house based upon the covid19 concerns I believe. He billed me for the month of May for every week. My invoice for June, which was hot and dry, for 5 cuttings. I was there every other day showing the house and doing work on the rental, and the grass was brown and short. My neighbor was laughing about not having to mow is yard. So I called Dan to remind him of the arrangement we had. He said, I never told you that I would revert back to two week cuttings, and he wanted to be paid for all 5. He said also, "I am not in business to cut lawns every two weeks." I told him he should have told ME that then when we worked out the details two months ago. He had been cutting my lawn on every two week intervals for a few years as requested. He lied to me this year. He knew full well that he said to me, ok let me cut it ever week for the first few cuttings, and then I will revert back to every other week. Liar. Hope others read this. You can not depend upon his word.
