In doing so, we would like to address the issues you had during your experience. As far as the owner being "nasty" it was a case of mistaken identity for which you received an apology. With regards to the unlocked unit; During our safety walk-thru if a lock is missing from a unit, it generally means the unit is vacant and we open the unit door to be sure. If the unit contains a clients belongings, our next step is to contact the client to inform them (as we did in your case) that their items are not secure. We provide this service in order to protect the client and their possessions. Our goal at Macon Mini Storage is to provide a safe protected facility for those who rent from us. Again, we are sorry that you feel you were mistreated.

DO NOT USE!!! If I could give them a 0 star, I would. On 12-3-16 I hired movers to take the things out of my storage unit. When I realized that the movers were not going to be able to fit everything on the truck, I started looking for resolutions. I called the contact number, a woman answered, I proceeded to ask if they had a junk removal service for items left in the storage. When she told me that they hadn't, I made other arrangements. 30 mins later, a man comes up to us and starts asking me questions. Not only was his tone nasty, but he also assumed that I had not paid for the month of December and did not give the required 2 weeks notice. I had done both. Once he had realized that I had, he came back to tell me that he was sorry he had been " short with me"... If that's what you call it. I left some items in the storage unit (about 6 big pieces), without the lock on it (hoping someone would take it and not have to throw it out), with the intentions to come back on 12-17-16 like I had planned to. On 12-5-16 I received a call from a woman asking what I was going to do with the items left in my storage. I have another 26 days to worry about that! There was no reason for them to go look to see if I had taken everything. As far as I'm concerned... that is still my storage unit until 1-1-17. In conclusion... I will not recommend using this unit.
