The sales advisement is deceptive , and the salesman doesn't explain all promotions. Sales tax was supposed to be taken care of , they charged me. They have a picture of a Toshieba TV that comes free , they delivered a Westinghouse . Free pick-up and disposal of your old mattress , they wouldn't pick it up because it was old and used , seriously , why do you think I was there to spend $3600.00 on a new one. Don't spend your money there folks, they put your receipt in a 4 page folder that explains there policy after they get you, and won't work with you after they get your money.

I ordered a bed that was on sale. Purchase was easy enough, but actually acquiring the purchase was never attainable. . .Spend your "hard earned" money somewhere, anywhere, else. . .because they do NOT earn their money.

Gardner White is the worst place for caring for there customers!!!!!! They are false advertising in there ad and won't honor there mistake!!!!!! I hope no one ever goes there to buy anything. Manager admitted to mistake and said she could care less. Got love businesses who don't care about there customers and break the law!!! They dont even deserve 1 star!! Horrible Customer service

I agree with all these people... Gardner white is the worst furniture store ever.. Their sales are not even sales... They have the worst customer service... My furniture that was delivered looked like a display peice... They didnt even care... After numerous calls and waiting weeks for my new peice to be delivered they didnt even care.... I will never buy furniture there again,,, Dont be fooled by the sales people at the front door...oh and the warranties are a waste of money!!

They Lost a Loyal Customer but THEY DON'T CARE!!!!!

First of all, the only reason I gave a ONE STAR rating is because they don't allow you to give a ZERO STAR rating. At a time where people are working a little bit harder for their money. At a time when people are not spending hastily, the people at Gardiner-White must think that they are invincible. They are among the WORST that I've ever dealt with. The sales Manager, Allen Bradley is a charming man who smiles at the right time, puts a look of concern on his face, says everything he thinks you want to hear, makes you believe that HE is on YOUR side......then when it comes down to it? "Screw you buddy...you signed the contract so go pay for your furniture and kiss my backside on your way out the door."



I'm so happy that I found this forum to voice my disgust and displeasure with Gardiner-White Furniture. I shopped at the Macomb Township location on Hall Rd and Hayes. My shopping experience was okay...but then again, the sales people are always nice before you actually make a decision to buy.



Of course, they tried the old tactic of keeping me in the store and pressuring me into making a purchase right then and there. They also tag-teamed me with multiple sales people. So when my wife and I finally saw through all the BS about "free" televisions and "free" game consoles and "free" crap...we made a decision to purchase the furniture.



The salesman offered 15 months "no payments and no interest". We sat around FOREVER to make the purchase. Then they charged $65 for delivery and couldn't give a time that they would make the delivery. All of a sudden, I was just another sucker who spent my money in their store.



So the furniture gets delivered and everything is fine. However, imagine my surprise when I start getting phone calls from a debt collector telling me that I'm late on my payment. I made TWO trips to the store and countless emails to their corporate office to tell them of the mix up. BOTTOM LINE...Touch $hit!!! You signed the contract and it doesn't matter what the salesman told you. That is why they keep you there waiting for such a long time. So by the time they bring the purchase contract to you...you are so freaking tired of waiting that you trust the salesman and just sign the contract.



Deceptive! Coniving! Cheating! Un-Ethical! Un-Caring! Arrogant!



Those are a few of the words I would use to describe Gardiner White Furniture. I have made it my mission to tell everyone that I know about my ordeal. I know of at least one friend of mine who was about to purchase a bedroom set from them and changed her mind after hearing of my poor treatment. NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

TERRIBLE!!!! Customer Service

Ms. Preston (customer service mgr.) and Mel (service tech) are terrible to deal with. Mel made inapproprate comments towards me and no one seems to care. I have a $1,400 sectional in my living room that has been broken sence it was delievered. After googling gardner white, I found MANY complaints about these two. TAKE THIS COUCH BACK GARDNER WHITE !!!!
