Went to get a tattoo here. Nice atmosphere, but the place had some faulty equipment. Tattoo did not come out how I wanted it. Probably a mix of the equipment malfunctions and the 'artist's' complete lack of interest in my tattoo. I plan on getting it fixed though. Of course, it will happen somewhere else, and not by this shop.



So I am giving 2 stars because maybe it was a bad day for the guy. His tattoo gun kept turning off and on. Maybe he could have done a better job had that not been the case.

I decided I wanted to get my first tattoo. My sister recommended this place and while I was in Lynchburg last weekend I went! I am soooo glad I did. James River Tattoo was clean, personable, helpful, very professional and they did an awesome job on my tattoo. Ethan was my artist and ensured that my tattoo was what I wanted and talked me through the entire process. Thank you James River Tattoo . . . I am extremely happy with your work!
