Bo Smith cost me $10,000 to undo the damage to my bathroom remodel.

I fired him & the 2nd contractor had to tear out all of what he had done to the bathroom, including forgetting to install the 2 sensors for the heated floor before tiling over it!

He took the down payment and went on vacation (I found this out after I returned from a 3 week business trip) when he had promised me he'd get a lot done while I was away.

Total shyster. The joke of my neighborhood.

He's never on site & his men sat out back smoking & playing on cell phones while neighbors working in their yards clocked how little work was getting done.

Never give him money ahead of schedule if you are risky enough to let him in your house.

Even some of his workers told me while out with their kids for Halloween that he "was way over his head."

He probably should stick to painting & small simple jobs.

I was referred by a neighbor to use Bo to repair a portion on my roof. After getting a few quotes, he was the cheapest BY FAR. The old addage, you get what you pay for, is absolutly correct in this situation. He did the work quickly and was professional enough. We agreed to make a payment for the materials upfront, then pay the remaining balance 2 weeks later. He completed the job in 3 days and then wanted the balance a week early because he was "going out of town". We were a little frustrated by the early request but because at that point we were happy with the work, we went ahead and paid him. He came to my home to pick up the money at 8:00pm on a Thursday night extremely drunk. He staggered up to my front porch and the entire time we were talking he was trying to hug me and I felt very uncomfortable. Thank goodness my husband was there. We thought that we were finished with the roof portion of our remodel and continued on to other projects...until 2 weeks later when the roof started leaking. It began as a small leak around a nail that grew into a leak down the entire seam of a patched in piece of plywood. We found plywood that was not fastened to rafters that could be lifted up by hand, rotten boards that should have been replaced, the shingles on the end of the porch were blowing up when a light wind blew, and other places that were leaking around a nail. When we found all of these issues, we immediately called and asked him to come out and take a look at these things. The majority of them were minor and probably would not have taken an hour of his time. He never called me back. We had to call numerous times and only once did we ever get him on the phone. He told me he would come out and look at it was 2 weeks before he ever showed. When he did come, he did not let anyone know when he was coming so no one was at home to explain the issues. He left a note on my back porch saying that it was the shingles from another part of the roof that he did not work on that needed to be replaced. Its obvious from the water stains on the roof that the problem was with the seam he patched in. Not from 20 feet away at the pitch of the roof. His excuse did not address any of the other issues. This man does not care about his customers nor his reputation. He will not stand behind his work. He screwed me out of $1600. Once he got his money, he did not care at all about us nor the issues he left us with. This man is unprofessional and I will never recommend him nor his business to anyone. Noone should have to be treated with such disrespect. DO NOT CONDUCT BUSINESS WITH THIS COMPANY!

This is one of the worst contractors I have ever dealt with. $8,000 roofing job and leaks every where. He has been out for the last 6 years and still leaks everywhere. He will not replace the roof. He will only tar. So my roof now has tar everywhere.
