No muss No fuss. I dropped my car off for a steering wheel pump. Left my car over night. It stayed a little over 24 hrs. It was fixed and with a reasonable price. They didn't try to push an entire list of things needed to be fixed. My car has been in twice and I was pleased both times. I found out about Deal's by word of mouth .

@Deal's Automotive, if anyone pulls into their parking lot....the fact it's full tells it all. No advertising nor publishing...all word of mouth. Fact remains, you can't please everyone 100% of the time. If you're going to write a review, state facts, and facts that are believable. Anyone with any mechanical knowledge/common sense knows that gear oil in a transmission just won't work. So if you're driving the vehicle away and have the availability to write a bad review....your trans must've held up quite well, unlike it would with actual gear oil. Mechanics are humans whom make mistakes as well as the next man/woman. It happens!! However, don't bash them or degrade them with blatant lies. The spark plug issue....when you buy a vehicle in that condition, then try to blame the mechanic in order to fix a problem that you inherited over a faulty rash purchase.....not cool. Except responsibility for your negligence in making an impulse buy. Have a great day!!

They broke a spark plug off in my head and tried to charge me $900 to get it out and still never fixed it and they still charged me $50 to try to change the plugs.

Ignore the bad reviews. These guys bust their humps on a daily basis. They totally delivered on my wife's air conditioning and my mother in law's car. I have had several problems myself, but they solve it. If it seems they are slow, they are doing it right. I like my vehicle repairs to work and stay repaired. If you want fast, be prepared to keep on paying. If you want it done right, take it to these guys.

Avoid this place if you just call in and don't go talk to them in person. I can understand being busy. I just don't appreciate the mechanics telling me they could look at it that day when they could not. And you would think that they would look at it following day. I still received no call! I had to call over to them just for them to say we are going to look at it first thing. Well they never got to it and didn't again call me to let me know a status report again. So then it was Sunday with me not knowing anything about my car. TOOK 5 DAYS to put in a new fuel pump. Runs great but was with out a car because someone failed to just be honest with me so I could tow it elsewhere.

I normally don't write reviews but I have been taking my two cars to Deal's Automotive for several years and these guys have been so good to me, I think I owe them a great review. Its so nice to find an honest mechanic and David and his team have been that to me many times over. I have used them for oil changes, they are very cheap and do a great job . I have also used them for brake work and other major repairs. These guys seem to be very busy with a lot of business and I am happy for them, as their great customer service seems to be attracting a lot of customers. I highly recommend Deal's Automotive to anyone with small or large repair jobs.

They punctured my copper 3 row...

They punctured my copper 3 row radiator while replacing the water pump and then tried to use household epoxy to close the hole before I showed up at the shop, They followed by trying to explain how my copper radiator was about to start leaking (any mechanic knows you have to weld/solder the hole if you are repairing copper radiators). They also used water and not radiator fluid in my newly installed radiator (that's not good and everyone knows that).

Next they replace my $280 (worth the wait in copper even broken) radiator with an aluminum radiator that they can not supply a part number or receipt for. I found the newly installed radiator and its $68 radiator that is a 1 row, 25% smaller radiator that belongs in a 4 cylinder not a 318, V8, AWD.

He supplied me with no paper work and therefor I can prove nothing but I had a 2 ASE certified mechanics that know my vehicle before and after Deals who confirmed everything stated. When confronted with this information David (Deals Auto's owner yelled at me saying he doesn't need to listen to some shady mechanics - watch out dealerships your mechanics are now shade-tree mechanics certifications means nothing now).

They also changed my oil with 20-50 when I brought them 10-30, however, told me to drive off before putting the oil in the vehicle. I stopped and immediately turned it off before I left the bay and said,"did you put the oil in it?", "the mechanic laughed saying,"my bad, i forgot".

They also changed my ignition coil with a used coils they had around the shop and charged me $54 saying that they were giving me a deal. I bought a new MSD performance ignition coil for under $45 at the local parts store when their "New coil" failed.

Lastly they "replaced my gear fluids and automatic trans fluid". Here is the kicker, my trans pan started leaking due to over tightening and not using a criss-cross pattern like any real mechanic knows. They used MERC in my gears and 60-90 gear oil in my trans. These are words from those so called ASE-Shade-Tree-Mechanics.

After everything is said and done I am out around $2000 an almost ruined (mechanically) rare Jeep Wagoneer. Thank God for those Shade-Mechanics with certifications fixing our cars at dealerships for over 20 years. I am not slandering Deals automotive I am simply stating what happened. Deals Automotive in Lowell will not except responsibility for the faults they made with my vehicle and now I have to pay for taking it to them.

Take it to Deals Auto in Lowell, NC at your own risk.
