These guys started a job refinishing my wood floor. When I showed up at the end of the day their sander had broken down with the floor 3/4 sanded. They hit me up at that point that I needed to give them 50 percent of the cost of the job up front. They also told me that I had mold in my floors and that they'd be happy to rip the floors out for me and install new. (This all after their initial estimates after seeing my floor, and no mold being noted--a simple refinish). I was devastated and contacted my brother who has worked on wood floors. He said there was no mold whatsoever. He also told me that it is not normal procedure to be told to give 50 percent up front on a sanding job where no additional materials other than stains etc. are needed. Maybe 20 percent at most. I talked to Sands and told them I was not comfortable with their terms after the job was started. I planned on them coming back. They had said it would take 2 or 3 days tops. I never was able to contact them again. My calls went to a phone mail account that had not been set up. They always took my calls on the first or second ring prior to that. They never returned to complete the job--my place was left a mess. My brother contacted them and they said they weren't coming back. You don't treat customers that way and have a successful business.

They explained their plans very professionally and easy to understand where I had little questions. And with the questions I did have, they answered quickly without any hesitation. The men were productive and finished my floors in a timely manner. I love spending time anywhere in my house since Sands Flooring fixed the old with the new. I would DEFINITELY recommend the Sands brothers to anyone who is looking for professionals with Great work!
