I have been going to KY nails for a while. I always ask for Tony because he has always done an excellent job. Today I did the same; asked for him for my gel mani/pedicure. At the end of the appointment he said, out of nowhere, “don’t ask for me anymore. I don’t like that. Just ask for anybody.” I didn’t say anything until it came time to pay. At that point I said I would do what he asked and not request him anymore. I said I felt it was rude he would say that. His only response was “ok”. I’ve never done or said anything to him that would be offensive and always tip at least $10.00. Needless to say I will not be back EVER AGAIN.

I went in today to get a pedicure with my friend. They rushed us to the chair almost pushing us and making us trip over the poorly laid out facility and cords everywhere. Then they had me put my feet in the water and it was scalding hot. I told the guy it was too hot and he insisted I put my feet in anyways. I slowly got them in without it burning my skin and he started forcing my feet every which way and the whole process was very painful. Everything looked dirty and he kept talking about me and laughing about me getting married to the other girl next to him working on my friend. They asked how old I was and I told them I was 23. Reguardless of how old I am they shouldn't have been rude in front of my friend and me. He then told me to turn the massage chair off when he went to paint my toes and I tried hitting the power button several time and the chair wouldn't turn off. My friend and I had to both work at trying to turn it off by hitting several buttons. I tried to just be patient and calm about the whole situation. I've had plenty of pedicures but have never gone here. I thougt I would try it out being as though it's closer to my friend. I will never go there again. My nails came out looking butchered with polish all over my skin. The way he was paiting my nails was not the proper way. He painted in several different directions and not from the cuticle down. I left a tip just because I'm not going to deny someone of that but I was very disappointed and it was not relaxing by any means. Please don't waste your money. Go somewhere else. This place needs to be shut down. The building is dirty and the people are rude.

I went in 2 days ago for a shellac manicure. I told them I only had an hour and i was assured it would only take 30 minutes. Not only did she leave cuts on my cuticles on multiple fingers, she also informed me after sitting there for 45 minutes that the color was bad and she knew from the start. It wiped right off and another technician came over to quickly "fix" it. It has only been 2 days and the quality of the polish is horrid. I have air bubbles, cracks, and chips in them already all because they used faulty product and i still had to pay the full $30 for what SHOULD last two weeks. I will NEVER go back.

Do not go here! Dirty instruments that have not been sterilized ... Technicians sharing instruments between customers! Some man gave me a rushed (10 min max) manicure early afternoon when there were hardly any customers. He cut my cuticles in 2 places. Couldn't get out of there fast enough. Also, lady and her teen daughter at the drying station both talking loudly on their cell phones ... A miserable 20 minute experience. I'm mad at myself for paying them.

This is usually my "go-to" nai...

This is usually my "go-to" nail salon, b/c it is close to my home, efficient and they do a good job. However, after today I do not think I will be returning. While I was receiving a pedicure two technicians sat in a corner near- by while one appeared to be picking lice and/or nits out of the other one's hair. I looked over there several times to be sure I was not mistaking what I was seeing, this went on for almost 10 minutes. Unfortunately there was only one other customer getting a pedicure at the same time and she was deeply engrossed in her magazine and did not see what was going on. I wanted to leave but my feet were literally 50% done and I was not sure what to do. In addition to this, I do notice that the technicians often seem to be talking about (and making fun of) the customers while they are working on them. I am used to this at primarily Asian salons in terms of the language difference, but here, it gets to the point where I almost feel uncomfortable.

Lacking in Friendliness..

I have no problem with the way they do nails, the people that work there are just stuck-up. The good thing is that they always have a huge staff so there is no waiting, but I see a difference in the way they treat people based on how they look. Some of the girls who work there think they are so cute, that I've seen them be rude to the girls on the staff that are not up to their "standards". Similarly, the clients who look like they might have money are treated like queens, but those who don't are not given the same friendly treatment. I've seen enought of this to quit going there, 79 Nails is SOO much better!
