This is an apartment complex that preys on poor people with no options.



You get what you pay for. When we first moved in there was no AC unit for our apartment. It was a fight to get one installed. Then there was a sewage issue and it was another fight to get that fixed. Meanwhile, our apartment reeked of sewage 24/7. Now the apartment is infested with gnats and fleas.



Last week we received an illegal notice of entry (not 24 hr notice, no set day/time)for our apartment the paint the front door. I've been stuck home all day every day waiting for that. I felt the need to because I saw the "painters" opening apartment doors, painting, then walking away with the door wide open. It's a robbery (or worse) waiting to happen. I feel like I'm on house arrest waiting for the painting to happen and it's been over a week



Don't rent here unless you are desperate.

This apartment complex is the worst place to live. The manager is rude and never in the office and when she is she treats you like scum. The only time she is nice is when you sign your lease and forget about getting anything fixed. When you tell her you have a leak or perhaps no heat all she says is to call the work ofer number or emergency number. If its after hours, you are screwed cause nobody answers or calls back. Let's discuss the maintenance, they had a maintenance man that worked hard and really cared for the residents. You could knock on his door, he lived on the property and he would do what he could to fix the leak or if no heat he would fix it. The manager got him fired , guess he was working too hard to get this place fixed up. What they need to do is get rid of her and bring back the maintenance man.

IM CURRENTLY A TENDENT WHO IS breaking my lease from Cumberland apartments. This place has several issues since I have moved in. To start there is a big empty lot next to the apartments. within the first week of me moving in I had a rat infestation. The manager has offered to put plugs in the wall which has kept them away. Along with that the place was infested with bed bugs within the first month of me living there I had several issues with the maintenance man he never replaced or fixed anything correctly.. I never received a mailbox key nor have I got my mailbox fixed. The cable was never turned on in my apartment considering that they supposed to offer free cable. The cable cords did not work in my apartment and they wanted me to pay $87 to get it fixed. The windows are extremely old and they have plenty of seep holes to let unwanted creatures in. All of the doors in the apartment are very much so off track and have never been fixed they also have poor construction and you can really see it and the condition of the Apartments. I had a neighbor report she found a poisonous snake in her house behind the fridgerator. The maintenance man is horrible here he does not complete anything he starts. Overall it's a great place to to live if you have no where else to stay. It's kind of cheap but I found a cheaper place that has better conditions than this one.

Bed bugs there I had the apartment for 16 hours and broke the lease don't move here ever!!!

DO NOT move here, it is infested with bedbugs, they cant keep adequate help because it is a Slum Lord owner who doesnt want to fix anything he moves things from one apartment to another rather then buy the parts needed for repair, then he charges the tenant for permits and repair. There are drug deals constantly being conducted in the parking lots. The Police are always here, robberies are rampant and it is not a safe place to live. It doesn't even get a star, I had to put at least one.

The cumberland apartments has had many issues with past managers, including and since there has been three managers at this location in just over one years time. Many of the tenants that reside there are treated poorly and the company doesn't offer the option to pay at the office but rent must be mailed directly to a PO box number and there is no way to actually contact the owners of the complex because that information is not available. Many appliances are not in working order and the complex takes an enormous amount of time to actually replace them. The conditions there are generally not accommodating to the tenants, the parking area for all building is trashy and not taken care of, the roads also are filled with potholes and debris. Many children in and around the area generally are left unattended and many roam around late into the night. There is little in the way of insulation and only one maintenance man for all seven buildings the laundry mat barely works as well.
