They can't provide proof of liability insurance. I would advise anyone and everyone not to hire AquaLock. They are destructive to your property.

It took 20-30 hours to clean up the Trash, fast food wrappers, equipment boxes, buckets of gravel, dust, debris, and toilet paper they left in the basement after they were "finished".

I will have to hire a Plumber, Electrician, and another foundation/basement waterproofing company to remediate the multitude of issues that were created by their work. If you think hiring Aqua Lock is the end of your leaking issues, you are sadly mistaken it's only the beginning. They literally left a gushing water pipe on wet concrete when they left.

Their warranty is worth nothing. They've had to come back 3 times, and never fixed 1 thing or apologized for any of the inconveniences and misdirection.

They take zero pride in their work. The countless workmanship issues wouldn't be an issue if they actually executed the contract. The sheer volume of unprofessionalism and blatantly cut corners is staggering for such a small job. They spared no expense cutting every corner they seemingly could.

The customer service was horrible. I called to prior to them coming out. The office dwellers had no clue what was going on or how the site needed to be ready for the work to be done. They were rude and unhelpful. I was tempted to cancel, but that'd be like cancelling a Dentist appointment because the receptionist doesn't know how to do root canal.

I pointed out many of the issues that are ultimately breaches in the contract during the final walk through. They retaliated with physical threats to the property.

They would not allow me to read the closing documents. Their crew leader said "I'll write down your complaints, don't worry about it." I paid them under duress with a sick child at home for me to tend to. I wasn't going to not pay 3 "concrete busters" as the office people called them. They wouldn't let me read it or hold it, but I made note on the paper "fix leak and concrete". That's when they "lost their keys and had to "dig up their work".

My home is more at risk of flooding and water damage now after their work than ever before. See picture below of a pipe that was supposed to be buried in a trench, but was just thrown in a corner of the crawl space with a little gravel tossed on top.

They blocked our garage doors with their truck as part of retaliation (pictured below) for pointing out countless issues with their work. They claimed the lock smith wouldn't come outside of business hours.

I made the mistake of calling their office after the physical threats. And I should have called the cops. The management of the company is complicit in strong arming customers and using physical threats, akin to stealing the customers money and walking off the job.

They present themselves as a "Mom & Pop" shop. Their contracts are relatively simple and nondescript, which can be expected for small family owned business. However, in this instance they write them to confuse and add ambiguity about what they actually deliver. Then they'll put the work on 3-4 contracts to confuse and create ambiguity between what is being performed for what job. It's all by design to screw customers over.

They have no respect for customers. They lie to customers with impunity. You can point out that they did not deliver on almost any of the contract, and they'll tell you that you are mistaken, and their sales rep did not explain it correctly to you.

It's difficult for me to believe they're still allowed to operate in this manner.

Here is another satisfied Aqua Lock radon mitigation customer. They lowered my radon levels from a 9.5 down to a 1.0.

Everyone in the company was so kind, prompt and professional, from first contact with Frannie to final follow-ups with John. Frannie and Becky in the office were very pleasant and knowledgeable. You can't help but have a smile on your face when speaking with Frannie. The gentleman who did our quote was Blake. He, like Frannie and Becky, was knowledgeable and explained how the system would be installed. The installers Nate and Lex showed up on time, got right to work, finished, cleaned up and were out of there in short order. They patiently answered any questions I had along the way.

I would heartily recommend Aqua Lock to anybody. They are a service company you can feel good about.

PLEASE CALL AQUA LOCK FIRST for Radon Mitigation; I sure wish we had. Everyone we dealt with at Aqua Lock was professional, on time, courteous, and answered my many questions with a smile. Aqua Lock came into a mess in our basement made by a previous company and corrected our radon situation quickly, and in a very professional manner. We initially made the mistake of having a low bid company do the job, and they left us with a maze of pipes, a noisy fan and motor, and average radon readings of 8.7 (still way too high). After returning a few times to do more readings, they then just failed to show up or return calls. Written letters asking for a refund were ignored. Finally my neighbor told me to call Aqua Lock. Michael McCartin showed up at my door precisely on time and did a thorough basement exam. He even stuck his head in our sump pump (something the previous firm never did) to discover we had a tile drainage system, an important factor for proper location of the basement floor vent pipe. He then spent at least an hour with me discussing the best location for the needed equipment based on our basement layout, but also based on my concerns about esthetics, space and noise. Understanding my hesitancy because of our previous experience, he assured me they would get our radon levels into compliance no matter how many visits or modifications it would take. He also made an extra effort to schedule the work very quickly to suit our needs. The Aqua Lock crew showed up promptly as scheduled, reviewed everything with me again to verify the locations, and then proceeded to do their work. They cleaned up when finished, had me inspect everything, and see if I had any questions. Our initial reading after installation was 4.0; we were ecstatic, but the Aqua Lock team was not satisfied, they wanted it even lower. After some slight adjustments, our second reading came in at 3.8! Please save yourself time and money and call Aqua Lock first.

Waterproofing was great. I will say that every person who has come into my house that knows anything about basements, has said they did a great job.

They do not stand behind their equipment, work or warranty. Installed waterproof system warranteed. Failed in less tha 2 yrs. they claim it is a battery that only had a 1 yr warranty. It is a Duracel Car Battery. We are heading to court. Beware of this company

Just wanted to let you know both Zack and Scott did a great job installing a radon system in our house today.
