As I was having lunch at AP Crafters today, a group of ladies who had just got done playing tennis(the Nike skirts and fit bodies totally gave it away) motioned me over, most specifically the one in the group that I later noticed was sans wedding band. We had good conversation for about 10 minutes and then the restaurant owner's wife came over and was adamant that I return to my seat as though I was bothering these women. It wasn't until the ladies explained that they invited me over that Judy left me alone. I left Betsy my # and told her that although I might not put a ring on her finger I'd cook her a delicious dinner sometime and returned to my table to finish my beer and food that had arrived. I wished the women well as I left after lunch and thought to myself that it'll be a cold day in hell before I return to AP Crafter's. As slow as their business is, to treat a regular like that who dines there quite frequently and knows almost everyone by name is appalling in my book.
