After Glow has a tremendous selection of beads and findings. Compared to other stores in the Louisville area (franchised and privately-owned) their prices are competitive on some things such as Delicas and SOME gemstone beads. However one searching for Swarovski crystal (myself) would be best to shop elsewhere as they have the most expensive prices I have seen anywhere. I can spend quite a bit of time looking at beads in a store. Upon my second trip into After Glow, with the first ending in no purchases and I felt almost a waste of my time - the second ended in 8 min and no purchase again, just discouragement that I wasted another 8 min plus traveling time and gas to get there. I half-salivated at some of the beads I seen, but total refusal to give in to total inflation at a bead store. I understand you have to make a profit, but only a true idiot would pay those prices! My advice to them if they want people to buy is frankly quit being so greedy and lower your prices some, or else find a new supplier. While I am an avid believer of supporting your local bead shop, I have seen places on the net that have charged as low as 25% of what they wanted for the same item. Those locals and sites will continue to get my patronage. Sorry, After Glow.
