Dr. Caroline Fleck is the founder and Clinical Director of the Luma Consortium, and an Adjunct Clinical Instructor at Stanford University. She is passionate about the intersection of technology and mental health and serves as a Health Technical Consultant to mental health startups and life science companies in the tech sector. Dr. Fleck received a B.A. in psychology and English from the University of Michigan, followed by an M.A. and Ph.D. in clinical psychology from Duke University where she trained in cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and dialectical behavior therapy (DBT). Her doctoral research focused on mindfulness-based treatments for psychopathology, and she worked extensively with Duke Integrative Medicine in studying the cognitive and neurological effects of mindfulness meditation. Dr. Fleck completed her clinical internship at the VA Puget Sound, and trained as a post-doctoral clinical fellow at the Evidence-Based Treatment Center of Seattle. In her private practice Dr. Fleck works with a diverse client population, including adults and adolescents with mood disorders, anxiety, ADHD, marital and relationship problems, chronic pain, suicidality, self-injury, personality disorders, and parenting issues. She is an expert in various evidence-based treatments for adults, adolescents, and couples and is committed to providing scientifically proven interventions to achieve measurable improvements in the problems her clients target in therapy. She is a licensed psychologist in the states of Washington and California, and has offices in Mountain View and Los Gatos, California. Dr. Fleck is a trainer, educator, and public speaker on the topics of evidence-based treatments in psychology, mindfulness in clinical practice, and the use of technology in mental health. Her courses and workshops at Stanford focus on training clinicians and residents in dialectical behavior therapy, and other cognitive-behavioral interventions.
