This place is definitely one of my favorite places to go for downhome cooking! The fried chicken is just like mom's, the potatoes & gravy are delicious, and the waffles w/ the maple syrup just melt in your mouth. Don't bother trying to count calories at this place- just sit back and enjoy!

Roscoe's is simply one of the best restaurants on the planet. The best fried chicken, the best gravy, the best beans. Nothing's bad. Everything is good including the extremely courteous service. I guess you can tell I love this place. Thanx Roscoe's!!!!!!!

I ate the fried chicken livers and waffles. They were truly delicious. The chicken livers are very tender, and the waffles are a light, buttery delight.
Portion size: Extraordinary...I always have to take home a doggie bag.

Just had breakfast/lunch at Roscoe's this morning. I'm a breast man and Roscoe's makes them tender and tasty. The waffles are simply the best I've ever had. And they do literally melt in your mouth.

For a couple of bucks, you can have a meal that'll keep you full through out the day. Go for lunch and you won't need to eat dinner. Get a half chix with gravy and onions, and be sure to get a sunset, too.

It's Sunday, around 7am, my phone rings. Who is it? My girlfriend, & Roscoe's Sunday Regular. ""Let's go to Rosecoe's."" Roscoe's reminds me of a southern chicken shack (displaying black art) where you can eat home style cooked food anytime. The atmosphere is mixed, with all ethnic groups & ages. Go early on Sundays. The chicken is fresh & cooked just like my great grandmother used to. I'm not a waffle fan, but I will eat waffles from Roscoe's. Isn't that strange? I think that I enjoy the slight cinnamon taste the waffles have. The coffe is the best! My girlfriend always orders the Today's Special, Fried Chicken, a side of Greens, Macaroni Cheese, and Cornbread. I usually get the Omlette with a side of Fries. It's all good! Whenever I have out of town guest, they all want to go to Roscoe's!

someone decided they would make money on the food their mother used to always make, only this food is not cooked or served with love more like a free ticket to the emergency room.--heartattack on the way. i guess if your moms sick, great aunt is dead and grandmother is senial go ahead take a plunge but you'll still end up praying for your mommas health to improve- take it from me just learn to cook.

it sounds like a strange combination, but if you break it down into it's parts, it makes total sense. meat and starch -- like meat and potatoes, there is something so hearty about these two food groups combined, especially when it comnbines some of the tastiest fried chicken and delicious waffles LA has to offer. sweet and salty -- like french fries and a milkshake, the sweetness of maple syrup and the saltiness of fried chicken compliment each other quite well. once you've tried it, you won't wonder why there is such a long line.
