I'm giving this store two stars only because their selection was wonderful. It's huge. Like emporium huge, but the way I was treated left a lot to be desired. I came into the store looked around for a bit. the red head with glasses greeted me (can't remember her name) but it was kind of phony. As I began looking around the store, I got the distinct impression I was being followed. The girl was on me like white on rice. I felt very annoyed and encroached upon. I mean I get it that this is Hollywood and people are sketch, but as a returning customer and local this makes me honestly never want to come back. The other thing that sucked was after being in there for about 45 minutes I decided to take a quick break from shopping. I had a splitting headache and needed to find Advil. They have a little cafe on the top floor with a bunch of tables. I thought, Great, I can chill here for a bit and be left alone while do my thing. Nope I was wrong. I noticed my cellphone was at really low batt. Since there was a plug nearby and they had set up a bunch of 2-3 person tables (very thoughtfully I believed) so that customers could sit down. Not only was I rudely and impersonally told by the same girl that I could not plug in my phone earlier, after a while when I sat down, the girl started taking her break. And she came over, without even talking to me and just put her stuff right next to mine, talking into her walkie talkie. It wouldn't have bothered me if she had politely touched me on the shoulder. But there were 4 other tables. To say that it was strange would be an understatement. The cherry on top was when the front desk guy tried to shake me down to drop $30 on a stained vintage scarf, and then claimed the reason for not lowering the price was that it was vintage. I'm sorry but it's not the f-ing Golden Fleece if it's in a $5 and up bin with a bunch of other crappy scarves in the back. He made up that price on the spot. Fisssshy. I will likely never return to this location again..

****AVOID THIS PLACE LIKE THE PLAGUE***************
I had a disco party to shop for so I came across Iguana Clothing. I spent over $200 getting everything from them which was convenient. However once I got to the party the brand new $60 Fantasma shoes they sold me completely fell apart while dancing and I twisted my ankle. all of the glue failed on them. I contacted Iguana in Hollywood a couple days later and Darren identified himself as the manager and said ""sorry all sales are final even in these circumstances"". He suggested I contact the manufacturer but could not provide any contact info for his distributor or the manufacturer. This is a horrible horrible way to do business in this day and age. Don't waste your money supporting this horrible establishment with no quality control or customer service. They need to be shut down with their give us your money and slam the door behind you attitude.

Huge selection and they have it organised by colour for some items and by style for others. You can find some really great pieces here. It's nice to have a list before you go because you might be overwhelmed when you step into the shoppe. In need of a costume or looking for a particular vintage shirt? Visit Iguana. Parking is a little tricky so mind the signs. Better yet -- take the tube to the Hollywood stop!

I didn't spend nearly enough time inside, they have a range of cool novelty items, costume type clothes and awesome vintage clothes. All of the employees were very helpful and friendly and I quickly found exactly what I needed.

If you need an elvis lunchbox, a polka-dot halter dress, a pair of secondhand creepers, a sassy nurse costume, and a feather boa, you should stop here.
Besides new kitchsy stuff and costume-like apparel (Pink Ladies Jacket, anyone?) they also have great vintage swimsuits, an entire downstairs filled with coats, and upstairs, jeans and dresses galore. (all arranged by era.) They also have great new (and used) shoes, perfect little pinup heels and also boots and creepers and recycled converse. In fact, I found a great pair of shoes in a size too large, and they called in the right size from another store (aaaaaaaw).
Retro glasses, bags, bets, etc are all here, too. I think they even have wigs...
Prices are decent. Salespeople rule.
If only they would re-open the snack bar....
