I was very impressed with the the central Eckankar Los Angeles Center and Eckankar Meet Up group of Los Angeles. The emphasis of Eckankar was:



• Simple spiritual exercises and creative meditation techniques that connect you with the Light and Sound of God

• Tools to help you have personal experiences with past lives and help you learn to Soul Travel

• How to remember and interpret your dreams using your own personal dream vocabulary

• How to get guidance from within yourself about every aspect of your life



Offering classes, workshops, discussion groups, and weekly worship services on a variety of spiritual topics, it was suggested I check back because the topics change often.



I felt more awakened to the joy, wisdom, and inner peace within.



I tried this technique:



The word HU (pronounced hue) is an ancient sound with immense spiritual power. Chanting it aloud or inwardly can help you find peace, expand your awareness, and gain a higher perspective on daily problems. With your eyes open or closed, take a few deep breaths, gently focus at the point between your eyebrows, and sing HU in a long drawn-out sound. Continue for up to twenty minutes and feel the inner changes for yourself.



Discussions are currently held at the Los Angeles Eckankar Center and the Beverly Hills Public Library. I look forward to them.
