Jaime D. Moriguchi, MD is Medical Director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program at the Cedars-Sinai Heart Institute. He is board certified in internal medicine and cardiology. Prior to joining Cedars-Sinai, Dr. Moriguchi was Co-Director of the Clinical Heart Failure Program and Medical Director of the Mechanical Circulatory Support Program at the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) Medical Center. Dr. Moriguchi has published more than 86 articles on a wide variety of subjects related to cardiac disease, cardiac transplantation, and heart failure. These articles have appeared in the Journal of Heart and Lung Transplantation as well as other peer-reviewed publications. He has co-authored six book chapters on heart transplantation and the experience of heart transplantation at UCLA, has written 120 abstracts and made more than 85 oral presentations. After earning his bachelor's degree at Stanford University, Dr. Moriguchi went on to earn his medical degree at the David Geffen School of Medicine at UCLA. He completed his internship and residency, serving as chief resident, and performed a cardiology fellowship also at UCLA. While at UCLA, he served on many committees including the Heart Transplant Executive and the Heart Transplant Selection Committees as well as the Medical Staff Executive Committee.
