DO. NOT. GO. HERE. I've used this cleaner once or twice before without many issues because my boyfriend likes to go here, but this time I am SO upset. I should've trusted the several other 1 star reviews that exist on this page.
The first time I visited this cleaner, I dropped off a pair of white Yeezy's that he was able to clean with no problem.
This time, I dropped off my pair of white Balenciaga Track 2 sneakers, and limited edition Valentino Undercover sneakers for a light touch up (right before COVID-19 hit) because he said he knows how to clean shoes as well. And when I say a light touch up, I mean a LIGHT touch up -- I bought the Valentino shoes 3 months before with my Christmas money and wore them 4 times.
Fast forward to when I pick the shoes up and the Valentinos are absolutely RUINED (the Balenciagas were barely cleaned, but they weren't made to look worse). The Valentinos looked as if he literally just through them in a washing machine, then into a dryer, then against a wall. The shoes were literally GREEN from the detail washing over everything. Additionally, the leather peeled a ton all over the shoe. (I'm including a picture of the before and after). I was super upset since these were the first designer shoes I ever purchased for myself, and he told me he had a guy who would be able to fix them (but that it would take a bit because of the COVID-19 stuff going on). He also said that if the guy wasn't able to fix them he'd reimburse me.
Guess what? His other shoe repair guy wasn't able to fix the shoes, and now the Dickie Dobbins guy is refusing to reimburse me for the roughly $900 (pre-tax) I spent on the shoes claiming that they were "already like this" when I brought them to him. I PROMISE YOU MY SHOES WERE NOT GREEN AND PEELING ALL OVER! I am so angry. I literally have a picture of the shoes from 1 week before I brought them to him. I'm still trying to get my money back from him, but please PLEASE PLEEEEASE don't go to this man. He is so unprofessional. I called to ask about my shoes, and he literally pretended not to know what I was talking about until I told him I had a video of him taking the shoes back from me after he ruined them. If I could give this man 0 starts I would -- they need to seriously reconsider their business practices.
Now you may think like oh, why would you take your shoes to the dry cleaners? Simply answer, because he claims they do shoes as well (which is why i've taken 2 other pairs of shoes to him before this). DO NOT GO HERE! GENUINE FRAUD!
