They are chummy until there is a problem we have had a machine out for 10 days and now another is broke promises, promises maybe you should look else were for laundry

There are two clauses in their lease agreement that got us in trouble. Beware of these two sentences:
1st clause, regarding automatic extension and renewal:
It is further understood and agreed by and between the parties hereto that this lease shall be renewed from the date of its expiration for two (2) additional terms each equal to the original term unless LESSEE gives LESSOR notice ... at least 90 days prior to the end of the then-current term of LESSEE'S intention not to renew this lease.

If the term agreed to is 5 years, then automatically adding two additional terms equals 15 years with the company! It can only be cancelled by Dadson (labeled Lessee in the agreement).

2nd clause, regarding right of first refusal:
Right of First Refusal
Upon expiration or termination of this least term and any renewals and extensions. LESSEE shall have the right of first refusal to meet any bone fide offer to lease the LEASED PREMISES or sell laundry equipment for use in the LEASED PREMISES made by any other person or entity on the identical terms and conditions of that offer. LESSOR shall provide LESSEE with a copy of the written offer to least the LEASED PREMISES or to sell coin operated laundry equipment for use in the LEASED PREMISES within thirty (30) days of receipt of said offer by LESSOR. LESSEE shall have thirty (30) days after receipt of said offer in which to exercise right of first refusal. LESSEE hall not be required to lease, sell or provide any appliances, vending equipment or services other than coin-operated laundry equipment in order to exercise its right of first refusal.

Apparently we signed to essentially lose our right to immediately do business with a more reputable service and we got sued for not providing them the right of first refusal.

We had to hire a good lawyer ($400/hour) to countersue with a lawsuit. Once they realized we were willing to fight with good lawyers, they settled. RIDICULOUS. Be careful!

Extremely bad business! Stay away! I am planning to find a lawyer specializing in the class legal actions. Don't sign their contracts, you won't see your money, equipment is bad, they don't fix it properly.

I have been trying to get out of my contract for the past 3 years. They are a horrible company to be 'tied' into - you can never get out!!! ANY other company would be preferable to this one!!! I have hired a lawyer to try and finally rid myself of this company!!!!

I own an apartment building and I lease laundry equipment from Dadson Washer. The machines are always in good working condition . And if a machine happens to break down, they always take care of any problems right away.

Dadson Washer Service are a bunch of crooks. They will pretend to be your best friends until they have you loccked into a contract. They will then be rude, and hang up on you. I am a current customer that is experiencing their lack of professionalism.

Beware that the contract you sign will become a 15 year contract if you don't cancel. All they care about is that they get your money every month even if you are lossing money. They claim there is no way out of their contract that automatically renews for two terms. Wow, what a racket...

This company not only leasing the washers and dryers, but also sells high quality machines for a reasonable price. And that was what we did, to own our own one and not to lease it. They provide good customer support, in case there is something wrong.

I feel good that I live in the building, that is managed by this company, because our equipment is always in order.
