I dined here last weekend for a friend's birthday dinner. It's a very popular place in the Silver lake area and on the weekends it gets really crowded. Reservations recommended for sure. I had never been there before and although I enjoyed my meal, I probably would only go back if I was invited again to a friends birthday or something. I did like the inside of the restaurant. The lights were dimmed and the artwork throughout the restaurant was very cool. The food was good and the margaritas were typical for a Mexican restaurant. The service was good too. The only thing I really didn't like were the tortilla chips. They were super hard and I thought I might chip a tooth. That was disappointing because that's one of my favorite things about Mexican restaurants, good chips and salsa.

My family and I love this place. The chips and salsa flow, there is great seating inside and out and the food is consistently great! This place knows how to serve authentic Mexican food!

My favorite item on the menu is the carnitas appetizer (ordered "extra crispy"). It's basically carnitas nachos, and it's a great value -- the portion is huge... I can never eat the whole thing! Festive atmosphere, VERY kid-friendly and the employees treat their regulars like family.

Great traditional Mexican food. The abondigas is great and the margaritas are even better. They have a theater in the basement that often has hilarious musicals done in drag.

Margaritas! Seriously, those are delicious! Have some chips with salsa on the side and ask for the hot one, you will love dipping those crunchy things in there. But as for main courses, better not. We got numerous plates of greasy stuff that was not really fun to it. Prices are fine as plates are gigantic.
