When I received a letter from California Interstate Child support claiming they had audited my support payments with a conclusion that I owed $165.000.00 I must tell you I freaked out!!! As all my payments were made. They had lost over $80,000.00 in records of my payments then added interest. I hired an Attorney friend of mine who got the state to admit there was a mistake yet after 4 years of back and forth the state refused to fix the problem. Then the unthinkable happened when I went to renew my Passport I was denied because of child support arrears now $189,000.00 because of interest. My friend after a noble effort introduced me to Brett Berman and told me Brett was the man to handle this. Once Brett took over I knew I had the right guy for the job. He reassured me that he would fix this for me, that was March of this year (2018). Friday (September 7, 2018) I will be going to court with Brett and I already have assurances that the state will no longer be pursuing this matter. Brett always returned my calls, responded to my texts and emails as well as constantly kept me abreast of what was going on. I must mention his assistant Seri Kattan-Wright, Esq. who also through this process listened to me when I was down and reassured me many times that everything was going to work out.
