This hospital is a sad excuse for a hospital; I was there for a full 24 hours and I couldn't WAIT to get out the door. 1) They wanted to charge me and my insurance to run all of these "tests" that weren't necessary. 2) The hospital didn't ask me what time I take my medications, and as a result to their negligence, I went through withdrawal AND had a panic attack for 3 1/2 HOURS. 4) The doctor would NOT sign to give me an anti-anxiety medication to stop my panic attack, even though I have a prescription. 5) The hospital wouldn't give me anything to eat even though it was past dinner time; I had to repeatedly ask for food. 6) I had to stay overnight to be evaluated because the psychiatrist wasn't there by the time the psych nurse came to see me. 7) I was apparently under a voluntary Baker Act, even though I just wanted a psych veal. (A Baker Act is for someone who may be a harm to themselves or someone else and they need to be monitored in a facility. Then when you're not a harm to yourself or someone else, you're released.) The psychiatrist did NOT want to discharge me on the basis that she THOUGHT I was manic, due to bipolar disorder. That psychiatrist didn't even evaluate me to come to that conclusion; the ONLY questions she asked were about my demographics. 8) The psychiatrist ignored the fact that I wasn't a harm to myself, and tried to keep me in that facility on the grounds of me being in "mania."

I would recommend that you go somewhere else. To sum everything up that I went through: They ignored me, left me in a room with no call button, didn't monitor me, ran unnecessary tests, kept me there due to ignorance which meant I had to stay overnight (and charged me for it), let me go through withdrawal from my medications for 3 1/2 hours before administering them, let me have a panic attack for 3 1/2 hours before administering my medications, their psychiatrist didn't even evaluate me (which was the point of me being there in the first place), and their psychiatrist tried to keep me there for the wrong reasons. They put my life in jeopardy by not administering my medications (which I need to survive; my medications for me are like insulin for a diabetic) and neglected my care. DO NOT GO TO THIS HOSPITAL.
