The owner of the company quoted our project twice for some trim repairs and to paint the exterior of the home. The prior paint job had not been done correctly, paint was peeling and surface was very chalky. During both quotes as I walked the property with the owner to review all aspects of the project, I repeatedly mentioned my concerns about the chalky surface and peeling paint and that the reason I was hiring a professional to paint the house was so that we would be sure it was done right and would not peel again in the near future. We wanted a paint job that would last. I even referenced another companies 8 page quote detailing all the steps they would take to prepare the surface before painting to ensure it would not peel, asking do you do all these things too and was told yes we will clean the surfaces. I should have pushed harder for details and asked for details in writing.



Within 1 month of job completion two major areas were peeling already (concrete and wood surfaces) and cracks in the mortar that were suppose to be sealed were cracked again. The owner did send someone out to fix it about a week after I contacted him. A few weeks later, it was peeling again. After the second time out to repair peeling surfaces they handed us a can of primer and two paint brushes before they left which I took as a hint to not call again. A few weeks after that I found yet another wall with significant peeling, which I took care of myself, and contacted the owner of the company stating that I was not happy with how this project had turned out over all. I paid them a lot of money to do this project properly and that was not done. His response:

"This was not our fault. We corrected all the outstanding areas three times. The problem occurred when your house was painted in the past without power washing or prime painting. We did everything we said we would do and more. I understand your disappointment but this was not our doing.At no time did I ever say or imply that we would remove all of the old paint job. Sincerely Al"



In addition to this being a poorly completed project, I have the following issues with their "professional" practices:

• I was told the project would take a week and a half to complete and owner pushed them to do it in 4 days, pulling the head painter from our project on day 3 to begin the next project. The two other painters helping on our project were inexperienced and should never have been working unsupervised.

• they got paint on everything that was not being painted including the frame of our metal screen porch, window screens, windows, light fixtures, carpet and linoleum, which I have been left to clean up

• when the head painter absent I had to micromanage the two helpers to make sure they touched up everything that should have been touched up.

• the guy who powerwashed the house also powerwashed the screen room which was not being painted and a few of the old vinyl window screens are now shredded.

• the painting team is made up of one head painter (very good) and then misc helpers each day, not usually the same people each day, some experienced other not.



This company is more concerned with quantity then quality and should learn to listen to their customers needs and not just yes ma'am them to get the job.
