Tale of two stores:
Deal with Warren Appliance at your own risk. ThereâÂÂs good will and thereâÂÂs bad will.
I had been a customer of WarrenâÂÂs for fifteen years. I bought one or two washing machines from them and two dryers (I have two buildings on my property that have laundry rooms),. I also had them do the repairs during this time. I canâÂÂt say they sell the best machines but overall they have been adequate. In June of 2016 I bought a used dryer from them at their recommendation. My old dryer needed a new timer for $150. I decided it was more cost effective to get another dryer. This is what they told me at the time that greatly influenced my decision.
We decided to get a rebuilt dryer. The service man highly recommended the dryer as it is very durable with few repair needs. He said it will last a long time. He said the new model of these has the same mechanical parts and he said it wasnâÂÂt worth spending twice the money. He knew that our dryer gets a lot of use and he felt very confident in selling it to me. I did appreciate him looking to save me money but on his end he may actually make more money selling his rebuilt ones versus a new one. With the service call and delivery charge the dryer cost me over $400 and I could have gotten a new one for $200 or $300 more.
So less then three years later in March 2019 the dryer needed a new heating element â the cost of repair $155. Now three months later the drum is making a horrible noise and the dryer only works intermittently. When he was hyping the dryer to me there was no caveat that thereâÂÂs always a possibility that it could break down anytime and that would have influenced my decision to buy it. ItâÂÂs not like I donâÂÂt know there are lemons and machines break down but they also personally rebuilt it and tested it â this wasnâÂÂt manufactured in a plant.
I called to see what could get worked out especially having been a customer all these years. I guess they donâÂÂt value customer relations. I have no beef with their only being a ninety day warranty on a rebuilt dryer but that wasnâÂÂt the issue. The most he was willing to do was maybe give me free parts or a 20% discount on the parts depending on the problem. That in it self was ok and appreciated. But he absolutely refused to come out at no charge (They charge $75 for an assessment) and then he would let me know the cost of repair and what he would do for me. I only live 4-5 miles away. So basically he was saying pay me $75 and we will assess the problem and then let you know what we will do for you. If it wasnâÂÂt worth fixing IâÂÂm out $75 and they would have probably tried to sell me another rebuilt dryer. Good will is taking care of your customers so for $75 dollars they lost a customer of fifteen years who is honestly disgusted with them. Pretty stupid trade off in my book. Read some of the other negative reviews on how they conduct business.
On the other hand to fill this out. The same day I had to get some carpet pad and tack strip to repair some carpets that had gotten wet due to flooding from a recent hail storm. I went to Family Carpet One Floor and Home at 1401 Ken Pratt Blvd Suite B, Longmont, CO 80501 where I had bought flooring many years ago. The owner recognized me and gave me the supplies for free. True it didnâÂÂt amount to much money but the gesture was very much appreciated. This is how you establish good will and have a satisfied customer who feels good and wants to come back and do business.
Need I say more.

Horrible, negative experience. This after using them several times in the past. Bad attitude and unprepared to complete simple delivery of a refrigerator. Credit Card dispute was objected to by their office even though they were in the wrong.
ALMOST CAUSED A HOUSE FIRE... Mr. Warren came to my house to fix my dryer which was not working and said that it was fixed. He charged me and went on his way. Instead of actually fixing it he removed the safety switch and said that it is almost entirely unnecessary. It is something that they started to install many years ago and all they do is malfunction and cause the dryer to stop working. He short circuited the system by splicing a wire around the safety switch. My girlfriend was doing laundry later that day and said that she smelled burning. Smoke started to fill the basement and the clothes nearly burnt her hand when she ran downstairs to stop the dryer. The actual problem was that the casing for the heating element had melted and short circuited onto the heating element itself. It essentially became a conduit for all of the electricity and almost started a fire. THANK GOD MY GIRLFRIEND WAS HOME AND DIDN'T LEAVE THE HOUSE AND DOGS ALONE!!!!!! Mr. Warren did not accept responsibility for the situation and a SEARS technician came and found the problem right away. Mr Warren refused to give me a refund even though I threatened to write a bad review. Well here is the result of that. Good Luck to you if you decide to use this corner cutting, code dodging company.

Don't let them remove your appliance from your home for "repairs". Did you know they also sell new and used appliances? Then if there is a problem with your repair, what choice do you have but to buy an appliance from Warren Appliance? And what happens to your old appliance? They have it! So have them fix it in your home, and come back to fix it, then if there is a problem, you still have your possession, not them!
I bought a dryer from this place 4 months ago and itâs broken already. I'm mad. I was told they replace all used and wearable parts. I specifically asked if they replace the drum bearings. They said yes! Well my dryer has failed in four months and its now loner turning. Now I have to bring the equipment back to the shop for them to charge me 35 dollars to just look at it. BUNCH OF BULL! Then if and maybe they may warranty the part. Looks like I'm going to have to just fix the Dryer myself. Should have paid half the price from some junk dryer from Craigslist and would have received the same quality and customer service from some Joe off the street. DONâT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. If you expect to receive remanufactured products that is not going to happen. They are liars they donât replace all wear parts. They just do what is necessary at that time to sell and make more money. To Hell with this place. I will never refer this place to anyone! LIARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Although I've had three very positive experiences with Warren Appliance over the last 5 years, my last purchase was a horrible experience and very costly to me.
I've lost over $800 on a used Crosley washer and dryer that I bought from Warren Appliance in May, 2011.
They delivered the set to Allenspark and the washing machine latch was broken on delivery. They carried the unit back to Longmont, fixed it and delivered it again (at no cost to me).
The washer worked well for two loads, but then it collected water in the drum when it was not in use. We did the steps they recommended and nothing worked. So a rep from Warren Appliance came out, picked up the machine, took it back to the store, fixed it and brought it back to my home. They wanted to charge me over $300 for this service, but since the appliance had not worked properly from its first installation, i held the store responsible for the cost.
After this second transport back to the store, the latch broke again. We went to Longmont, bought the part and replaced it. After a few uses, the latch broke again. We ordered the latch by phone and installed it. The latch broke again.
I offered to buy a brand new unit from Warren Appliance for $1500 if they would give me credit for the original $800 set. Because they warned me that the new set would have the same latch as my first set, I stipulated that the deal would be done based on my approval of the new unit.
They agreed at first, but changed their minds. Instead, they offered to pick up the machines and return my money. I agreed to this. I still trusted the integrity of their word and purchased a new set from Lowes. (which incidentally has worked perfectly from the first minute it was installed.
My mistake is that once they got ahold of the washer/dryer set, they said they would only pay me $500 for the exchange price. They claimed that we damaged a good machine. They even sent a lawyer written letter that says that if I sign it, I give up rights to the rest of the money.
To get this misery over, I offered to split the difference. Instead of them keeping $300 of my dollars, they would keep $150. They refused.
So now here is where we stand: I paid Warren Appliance $800 + for a washer and dryer that never worked. In the month I had it, it was broken over 50% of the time and cost us a lot of inconvenience. They have not returned my money and I have paid another $1600 to Lowes for a new set. I am out $2400 and Warren Appliance not only has my original $800 but they have the old set in their possesion to sell it again for another $800.
small local businesses are the best. checked prices at the box stores. maybe a better price to start but when it comes to repairs your stuck. Warren appliances came out to repair my appliance on the same day and actually gave me a time of day instead of having to take off half a day to wait for the repair man from 12pm to 5 pm.
Wife called Warren appliance to see how much it was to fix our LG dryer after we dropped it off for service. He said the motor was 220$ and the labor was 30$ to install. We looked around and found the same motor for 99$ at sears, then called Warren Appliance to see how much it was to install the other motor, He replied 30$ which we agreed to. Went to pick up the dryer and was billed 80$ instead of 30$ plus the 35$ initial diagnostic fee. The diagnostic fee was agreed upon and was fine but the owners of which I think are brothers, stated they made a mistake that the employee should never have told the f####n price over the phone, "this is what my wife heard while on the phone talking to the other owner" The worst thing is neither of them tried to make it right or comprimise. Rotten way to do buisiness and will never visit again and word of mouth will get around!!! Too bad a small buisiness would treat customers this way
Gave us a price on replacing a motor in our dryer, then when we went to pick it up the price was triple the amount qouted. WITH NO NOTICE OF INCREASE! Bad customer service as he cussed out another employee while on the phone with my wife. I don't write a review very often but this guy shouldn't be in buisness. BEWARE

I have done business with Warren Appliance for many years. I have had them out to do repairs and installs. They are here when they say they will be and are in and out. If you are up to doing a repair yourself they will help get you through it with the needed parts and advise.
I have also purchased new appliances from them. Never an up-sell or trying to get you to buy something you don't want or need. They are my first and only call when needing an appliance repaired or wanting to purchase a new or GOOD used one. Big box stores have nothing on these folks.
Small town store with old fashioned good service. I've used them for service parts many times. Can't say about new/used appliances, but would be surprised if they didn't treat you right.
