HORRIBLE! Stay away from this hotel if good customer service means anything to you! The front desk people were nasty and condescending, the beach staff were too busy talking with each other to help with chairs or take food orders, the bartenders were completely dismissive, to the point that they said they'd be "right with you" and then turned around and left the bar to take a break, the restaurant service was slow,we waited 45 minutes between appetizer and entree and then the entree came out lukewarm as though it were sitting under heaters for 45 minutes, we ordered a bottle of white wine and were told "it's warm, but don't worry, we'll put it on ice for a minute", and there was no coffee/tea available until after 11 am on Sunday. This was the worst hotel we've ever stayed at. You'd think they'd be trying to bring back customer after "the storm", but I guess not! Never again!

Having lived on the ocean in L...

Having lived on the ocean in Long Beach for over twenty years I eagerly awaited the day we would have an ocean-front restaurant. The restaurant is here, but it's a huge disappointment. The decor is beautiful, however that's where the complements end, The staff was unprofessional and surprisingly unfriendly, no smiles were found here. Since we were two people and our table was set for four, our server cleared the extra settings and in putting them away, he wiped off a fork before placing it back in the drawer after it had fallen to the floor. A dinner for two was rather pricey at $160, especially since only one of us had any drinks. Both of us ordered soup, which was both hot and cold at the same time, indicating that perhaps it had been micro-waved prior to being served, A shared appetizer of calamari was greasy and average at best. One of us ordered Fillet Mignon that was a special, only to comment that there was nothing special about it at all. The accompanying vegetables and potatoes were sparse at best. The scallop dish was also disappointing, not having much flavor and the portion was somewhat around the size of what one would see as an appetizer elsewhere. We had to ask for bread to be brought to the table and our water glasses were not refilled unless we were able to track down someone to do it. Such a lack of service was odd when you consider that the restaurant was almost empty, with only three tables of guests at 7PM on a Sunday evening. Perhaps that speaks for itself. Long Beach finally does have an ocean-front restaurant, the only problem is that it's not very good at all..
