Founded in 1942, The Guidance Center provides direction, comfort and professional support services to children, adolescents and adults with behavioral health disorders. It maintains a bilingual staff and offers treatment services to more than 3,500 people annually. The center provides supported housing, mental health, vocational and substance abuse prevention services. It also offers a variety of early childhood education, youth development and school-based programs. The center s vocational services include counseling, diagnostic vocational evaluation, work adjustment and clerical training, and assisted competitive and supported employment. In addition, The Guidance Center provides several programs designed to meet the emotional, social and behavioral needs of college and elementary, middle and high school students.
