For me it's all about the butter cake.

I have been on almost all the gondola rides that exist in the United States now. Bar none, The Gondola Getaway outshines all. First, The staff seems like they realize the company has been around for more than 25 years. The canal system and bay make for a perfect relaxing intimate experience. The number of bridges, the width of the canals and the lack of boat traffic was intoxicating. It felt like we went so much further than we did. The people that live in the houses were so friendly and calling out using Italian words. The recommendations to restaurants were extensive and honest. I guess there is a reason that the original is always the best. They had the heart and passion to start it. They are not copy cats except for trying to appreciate what they are doing in Venezia, Italia. The gondolier even told us that the Gondola Getaway has been taking a team to Venice every year to participate in a rowing regatta called the Vogalonga or something like that, for almost 25 years.

Very romantic getaway: My wife surprised me by taking on a gondola crusie. It was very romantic and intimate. I highly recommend this wonderful experience.
