A friend referred me to Spectrum and after checking it out, we left another very reputable gym in the area. I couldn't be more happy with our decision. The coaches are friendly and available to parents for questions, and the office staff is wonderful (I can't say that about the last place). The team coaches are experienced up into college level gymnastics and are so incredibly encouraging to the kids. I'm impressed with the verbal praise and encouragement they give to the older team girls as well as the young ones, even when they mess up. We have our own favorite coach, but I've heard that each coach is a favorite to somebody...nobody is disliked! The gym is not huge, but it is NEVER crowded and with the viewing window in the lobby, parents are allowed to watch the entire class...even for team. The lobby is small and gets full between classes, but most parents leave once class begins. They also have a TV turned to PBS for families with young children who sit in the lobby also.
