I lived in the Brooklane Annex apartments for the 2014-2015 school year. I am very disappointed with the apartment management. Before moving in, my roommates and I signed a contract agreeing to all of the rules and regulations. What we didn't know was that periodically, they would bring papers by with new rules- none of which were included in the contract. For example, recently they brought by a handout stating that if any tenant vacates within 2 weeks before May 1st (the final day of our contract), they will charge a fee. My finals are all completely done and I planned on moving out April 24th, so now I have ANOTHER fee because I don't want to sit around for the next week.



Maintenance was PATHETIC. My roommate had to hire a plumber to fix her shower that continuously flooded. At one point our heater was not working because the furnace was broken and they wouldn't come by to look at it, they just said "There's nothing we can do about it." That was always their excuse.



In order to get our deposit back we have to personally bring them a self addressed stamped envelope, because they're too lazy and unprofessional to provide their own materials to return our $200 deposits.



On top of everything else, there was a horrible spider problem. My roommates and I always found huge spiders in our room and in the living room around the kitchen.



I would never recommend Brooklane Apartments to anyone. It was way too expensive to have a manager that didn't know how to run a business. They didn't care about their customers, it was "their way or the highway."



9 months ago, I would have liked for someone to tell me this information . . . Hope it helps. :)
