Not only did dr Vasti give me my life back but he gave me my health back. If your INTENTION is to get help this is the place to go. They will help you in every which way they can to get you to a place where life makes sense and waking up is enjoyable. I have an incurable disease that causes excruciating pain and the docs threw me on meds very young and then dropped me when I became an adult and was not able to get state insurance. During which time I was fighting such a scary disease. It’s called endometriosis. As well as epilepsy. Both of which bring my life so much pain physically and emotionally and having a place and a dr like Vasti has brought me peace of mind as well as the desire to be the best me I can be. If you have been on the edge wondering how in the world to over come this huge mountain you’re not alone and this location ofbheslthy connections can and will show you the way and walk you through your recorvery step by step until you reach your fullest potential. Some people never get off the program and that’s because their life needs this program and designed to be able to use in cases like that. and some people get off within their first year. Everyone is different and you can’t allow the experience of other addicts deter you from getting yourself the care love and help you need. Physical dependency or addiction they are trained professionals who love what they do especially dr vasti who came out of retirement to open this place for people like me. Who want to LIVE and need some help getting their life back! I am not ashamed but proud to say I have a strong support system and I’m not alone through my journey and with Lodi healthy connections and dr Vasti as my team I know I will reach every goal we’ve set in place. (Which by the way I’ve been crushing it so far!!)

And to Gina, the mother of mason, I am so sorry for your loss and Mason was such a sweet kid. Everyone makes mistakes and grieve is a VERY difficult thing to go through. But running after the doctor who was only trying to help to rid yourself of whatever guilt and grieve your feeling. This isn’t the way. I pray for you that god will bring you peace and show you the truth in your heart of how mason over dosed. It’s masons and masons fault alone that he took every illegal substance on top of his recommended dose of methadone. Had he done what was told of him and not played Russian roulette with the pill bottle he might still be here. But every thing happens for a reason. Use this to help others not make the same mistake. Don’t keep others from getting the safe help they need. A lot of people would be dead or in jail if it wasn’t for the purity of this place. Keep that in mind to. God bless you Gina. And like I said I am praying for you and that you can find healing through this unforgettable and nearly unforgivable pain mason caused you.

This Methadone clinic, In fact the Lodi ca Methadone clinic in particular! Completely saved my life! Before I became a patient at this clinic I lived a life of self destruction and carelessness. I came from a good family. I live in a normal suburban neighborhood where their are no drugs or drug users wandering the streets. Yet I still ended up addicted to pain pills! Which stripped me from a healthy normal life, to a living hell. I lost touch with my closest friends. Betrayed family and became someone I didn’t even know! When I came to the Lodi ca clinic. My life didn’t immediately change, and for awhile I was still lost, Every day was a battle! Even with the support of the clinic it was hard! Until I realized.... I have to want to get clean and I have to want to be sober or I will never do it!!!! Period! I had to change my entire mentality. My entire lifestyle! Who I talk to, how I go about my every day life. The addiction is just the symptom of a problem that already exists! We use the drugs as a release from our every day lives. Being sober is about living life on its own terms. Getting high is the easy way out! It takes more courage to live life sober and face your life! I have came dangerously close to death many times because of the lifestyle I was living as an addict! The Methadone clinic gave me my life back and is the best thing that has happened to me as far as my overall physical an mental health, an lifestyle! I can confidently say without the help an support of Dr. Vasti and the team of employees at the Lodi Methadone clinic I would have ended up dead or hospitalized years ago an I thank them for their support in getting my life back! I completely understand how it feels to loose a loved one to addiction. There’s no words to describe the feeling! It’s awful.. but what you have to remember, is that it is always the addicts choice to use... An that one choice can cost you your life!

I have been attending Aegis Treatment Centers in LODI since June of 2015. There is no question in my mind that Dr. Vasti and his staff have helped me take my life back. I am still alive because of the Methadone maintenance program. Unfortunately, people want to blame someone when their loved one dies but Aegis is not to blame. I’m sorry, Gina, for the loss of your son but Aegis Treatment Centers most likely kept your son around longer than if he would have not participated in the program. I’m 34 years old and I’ve been using drugs for two decades now. I am responsible for my recovery, not Dr. Vasti. First, I’d like to address Gina’s comment about Dr. Vasti not tapering her son. I believe there are roughly 300 patients at Aegis in LODI. Everyone is assigned a counselor. The patient and the counselor together determine when and if a patient is ready to taper and then Dr. Vasti signs off on it. If a patient does not abstain from all illicit drugs than most likely Dr. Vasti won’t receive a request for the patient to taper. This is my 3rd attempt at Methadone Treatment but my first time attending Dr. Vasti’s clinic. My previous attempts were at Aegis on Lower Sac where they have approximately 800 patients. I will admit, I felt more like a $ there because the abundance of patients but they’re doing all they can with the amount of patients they have. The first day I set foot in the LODI clinic it felt different. When I spoke with Dr. Vasti and asked him why Methadone? This was his response... (it was 2 1/2 years ago, so it’s not verbatim.) He told me that he thinks that a heroin addict should have the same opportunities as everyone else. Methadone makes it possible for heroin addicts to be well enough to work and be parents to their children. It gives us the opportunity to function and be part of society without using drugs to stay well. Another point I’d like to bring up is, Methadone treats dependence on OPIATES alone. Fortunately us going to counseling twice a month helps us to abstain from other drugs but it is not a requirement to be clean of all illegal drugs. Thank God for that because not all patients are able to stop using right away and a lot of patients have addictions to other drugs as well, not just opiates. It truly upsets me that potential patients will now see Gina’s post when they search for Aegis’ number to seek treatment. Perhaps it will detour them from seeking treatment and that makes me sad. It is my understanding that patients don’t just OD on their prescribed dose of Methadone. Most commonly it is from mixing other respitory depressants such as benzodiazepines or alcohol with their prescribed Methadone dose. I think that Gina is mourning the loss of her son and she is upset and angry but how dare she blame the program that tried so hard to save his life. Dr. Vasti is in the business of saving lives, not taking them. Shame on you GINA for potentially turning other opiate addicts away from Dr. Vasti’s program because it wasn’t the cure all for your son’s disease. The disease of addiction is like that of no other. You lost your son to the disease of addiction not because of Aegis attempts at treating him. I believe the most successful treatment for Methadone is 2-3 years with extensive counseling and then a successful taper. Methadone saves many lives but the disease of addiction takes much more. I have referred people to the clinic that are now SOBER and they continue to live their daily lives. My advice is to educate yourself on the disease of addiction before you go pointing fingers and placing blame on Treatment Centers. The staff at Aegis in LODI is incredible. If you are addicted to opiates and thinking about being a patient at Dr. Vasti’s clinic, you are on the right path. Thank you Aegis and Dr. Vasti for all that you do and continue to do for me and so many others like me!

My boyfriend had an opiate dependency since the age of 16 hes (25) now. A little over a year ago he decided he didnt want to do dope anymore. (The cost and high was pointless) however he only continued dope to avoid the body pain that comes with withdrawls. Since he began treatment here he has been completely clean passing his random drug tests. His bi weekly meetings with his counselor really helps him mentally as far as boredum from not getting high and anything else going on in his life.

Aegis gave me my muscles back!!! The disgruntled mother below is pointing a finger and has three pointing back. This clinic has saved hundreds of lives from potential overdoses due to ILLEGAL narcotics being consumed without a doctor's consent or prescription. The unfortunate event of an overdose from anyone that receives treatment from this very professional clinic....is not the result of Dr vastis efforts. It is the perversion of his efforts, and total disregard for his recommendations and doses. Because not one time EVER has anyone overdosed due to his prescriptions. However, when people abuse their treatment and ignore all warnings and common sense and choose to put multiple illegal narcotics obtained illegally from the streets: on top of their recommended dose, no one should be surprised when their bodies reject what is given and shut down. This clinic would never endorse the use of illegal drugs, and is here for people that want to live sober and not use dope anymore. It is a way to help people get off of the hard drugs and become normal citizens that benefit society. Not for those who want to use it as a base for other drugs just to get higher and higher. This is not what the clinic is designed for, and the other hundreds of beneficiaries will agree. So when a person is under the roof of a mother who is aware of their sons addiction, the mother....not the clinic...is most responsible for the well being of that person. Because we all know this clinic is not an inpatient program and is not responsible for what people choose to consume in excess with their prescribed dose. Thank you for listening to common sense, for those who believe everything they read. Dr vasti is a great man who has dedicated his entire life to saving addicts and has done an amazing job cleaning up the illegal opiate dependency problem in this great town of Lodi. And to go after him for any personal losses or problems is the result of a sick and demented mind of a crazed person full of hate
