I made an appointment for a bl...

I made an appointment for a blowout prior to a big interview. The stylist called the day before to see if I could come in an hour later; I told him no, that I was happy to try and find somewhere else to go, but I wasn't flexible on the time that day because I had an interview. He told me that he was fine w/ the orignal time and not to worry about it. So I show up for my appointment and wait...and wait...and wait. Normally I wouldn't mind at all, but I had somewhere to be and I still needed to change clothes, etc. So I told the front desk very politely, "I'm sorry, but I will have to leave, I just can't risk being late to my interview." So the front desk person (who was also VERY nice) said he would try to see if someone else could get me started. I suppose the girl wasn't very happy about doing it because she immediately told me that my hair was greasy, that there was no way that she could fix my hair for the interview in 30-45 minutes (all I wanted done was wash and blow dry). I tried to be nice and make conversation...I never once complained about them running behind. The girl's station was right next to the original stylist w/ whom I was scheduled (I think his name was Evon, sp?). He was obviously running way behind and there was no way he would have been able to get to me for at least an hour (which is fine, but when we talked the day before he should have let me try to find somewhere else to go). What's worse is that he never acknowledged me AT ALL, never apologized, or anything. So the girl (I think her name was Megan--her station was next to his) "helping him out" proceeds to tell me that I need to go to hair classes and learn how to fix my own hair. I explained to her very politely that I had an interview and I really just needed it to look clean and professional and I always feel more confident when I have my hair done. She couldn't seem to comprehend why I was in such a hurry. I explained to her that I had to change clothes prior to the interview (I didn't want to wear a suit to the hair salon in case something got spilled on it, etc.) and she seemed flabbergasted that I needed to change clothes. She asked me where I LIVED, seemingly incredulous that I lived in that area (salon is in a very upscale neighborhood) which I DO.The stylist made NO attempt to fix my hair w/in the time frame and drug her feet w/ everything. I told her, very politely, that I would have to leave. I left with a wet head and then had to rush home and scramble to get ready. It was a horrendous experience. I have never been talked to so horribly by people that I was trying to be nice to. I never complained about their tardiness or unprofessional behavior while I was in the salon. Maybe they are nice to their regular clients, but I wouldn't know since I will never be one.
