Kevin Barre is a true professional. He took the time to thoroughly check our future house and explain to us his findings in terms we could easily understand. He had the report back to us extremely fast and it was very detailed. Truly an amazing experience all around. Definitely recommend!

Mr. Barre was prompt, professional, and thorough in his inspection, the walk-through explanation, and the written report. He thoroughly explained every aspect of his inspection and what his findings mean in a manner that was articulate and professional, yet understandable to a layperson. His decades of home-building and home-inspection experience were evident in his attention to detail and knowledgeable advice. He identified incorrect installation of chimney flashing on an 11-year-old home I am purchasing. He documented in photographs the somewhat hidden signs of likely damage to the chimney chase, and explained in his detailed report what repairs would be necessary to remedy the situation. I honestly am not certain that the average home inspector would have noted these details, as they were not readily apparent, visible only by using a mirror and looking at the underside lip of a chimney chase. The sellers were completely unaware of the gradual progress of water damage to the wood sheathing hidden beneath pristine vinyl siding, and the inspection report with its photographic documentation allowed me to negotiate the repairs with the seller within the terms of our contract. Once the siding was removed by the contractor the sellers hired, the damage was exactly as Mr. Barre had predicted, and the repairs were made to everyone’s satisfaction prior to closing. When he named his business “Assured Home Inspection,” he was spot on. I am able to complete the purchase of my home with confidence and knowledge. The sellers could have benefited from a maintenance inspection by Mr. Barre at any time during their eleven years of ownership. He would have identified these same issues for them before the damage had progressed. I highly recommend Assured Home Inspection for those purchasing a home, and also for those who would benefit from the assurance of a professional “check-up” for the home they own, regardless of their intention to sell.
