HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED

Use to enjoy Waters Edge Café until tonight. and when called to complain the girl said sorry, is there anything else I can do for you....Ordered the Oyster Platter and as I started to eat the Oysters all I could taste was fried batter that that tasted like old oil and no taste of oyster, what looked like decent size oysters were actually 20% oyster and 80% batter(NO TASTE of OYSTER).....potato salad no flavor, except egg and potato, found pieces of pickles the size of flea's......I had a feeling , so I called and asked if ownership had changed in recent months and was told yes in August 2013...From Louisiana and was a chef and have to say the Waters Edge Café is not what it use to be....Bummed, because enjoyed it before.....

Good New Orleans food in Little Elm

My husband is a N.O. native and knows his food. He loves the Roast Beef and the Shrimp Poboys. I prefer the Ferdie. The owners are working on the a/c problem in the restaurant but don't let that deter you. Get the food to go until they get it fixed. Heck, add some humidity and you'll have the typical New Orleans weather and food! Enjoy!!!!

Best Food Around!

We happened into the restaurant several months ago (looking for a full service breakfast spot in Little Elm). We were pleasantly surprised when it turned out to be one of the best breakfast's we have ever had. Soon after, we returned to try the lunch/dinner menus and this is now our favorite restaurant. The (delightful) owners are from New Orleans, and the cajun food is authentic, but they offer a vwide variety on the menu and standard items are wonderful also. We believe it's the best food around!
