Best care and attention

We have been dealing with Taylor Made Kennels for over 2 years since our dog was a puppy. We can't say enough good things about them. They provide excellent care and play for our dog. Both Carol and John are very professional, and caring and are wonderful to deal with when scheduling, dropping off and picking up our dog. The out door run is big, the accommodations for the dogs are spacious, clean and heated in the winter and air conditioned in the summer. Our dog knows when we are nearing the kennel and she gets so excited and greets them as if she were their dog. I have recommended the kennel to everyone I meet and they too have all good things to say about the kennel. I would highly recommend John and Carol and the kennel for your dog. P. S. Carol does a great job at grooming, too.

AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE

I was leaving for vacation and was told by the owner that they would be there after 5. We showed up a little after 5 and noone was home. We spent 30 minutes looking for someone to take our dog so we could leave on vacation. Finally my boyfriends mom took the dog so we could leave. It was a waste of gas and time. I called to tell them i was on my way home days later. My call wasn't returned for 3 hours and they left a nasty voicemail. I called and said i was coming to get my dog.

When i got there i found out that that my dog hadn't had her antibiotics it 2 days. DON"T GO HERE THEY ARE RUDE AND MY DOG DIDN'T GET THE BEST CARE!!!!

In the hundreds of dogs we have boarded we have only had one, let’s call her J.T. dissatisfied customer/owner. This incident occurred eight months ago but we remember it clearly because J.T. is the one and only customer that we told when she picked up her dog that we would no longer be an option for boarding her dog because of her actions. Now to her comments about TMK. The issue on the day of drop off, as is clearly stated in our contract when dropping off or picking up your dog you are required to make an appointment. J.T. did not do that. She only said it would be sometime after five and could not give us a better time. We are a small out fit with only my wife and I to run the kennel. When this incident occurred one of us was on 2nd the other on 1st shift. Not knowing exactly what time J.T. was dropping off I attempted to get home after work as soon as I could, but my truck broke down making me later than I should have and arriving at home at 5:30. With regard to the day of pick up, again J.T. failed to call in advance to schedule a pick up time. The day she picked up she called at around 7:10 or 7:15, now at that time we close at 7 P.M. When we found she had left a message on our machine it was approximately 9 P.M. Now mind you we closed at 7 but we still called her right back and left the following message on her phone, “We were sorry we had missed her earlier call but we close at 7 P.M. After we had closed we had been out side working. If she like she could call back tomorrow to set up an appointment to pick up her dog.” J.T. called back a few minutes later and demanded to pick her dog up that night. So at around 9:45 P.M. J.T. showed up to get her puppy. Let’s be clear on a few other things. The antibiotics. Putting it politely she is incorrect about that. J.T’s pup received her medication each day it was here. Additionally we normally charge a dollar a day extra for meds. To be administered to a dog. We did not charge J.T. anything. Also we do not charge for the last day a dog is boarded as long as it is picked up prior to 7 P.M. Even though J.T. picked up at 9:45 P.M. we still did not charge her for that day. Bottom line what J.T. was mad about was we told her that due to her actions she would no longer be welcome at TMK. That’s when J.T. got nasty not TMK personnel. The sad thing about this is the one that suffers because of J.T. actions is the pup. She loved coming to our place and we enjoyed having her. We have 5’ X 10’ outside runs that each dog can use and the kennel it’s self is enclosed by a 40’ X 40’ fenced in area that we let the dogs run and play in each day individually. What more can I say other than yes there are bad “Service Providers” out there but there are also bad customers out there also. If anyone has any questions or concerns about boarding at TMK then by all means call or stop by and we will be more than happy to talk to you. Bottom line we have had hundreds of very satisfied customers and one that was not. I will say this though as a result of the J.T. incident we did seriously shorten our hours of operation and are now sticking to a strict drop off and pick up time. We tried very hard to accommodate people by allowing drop offs and pick ups after 7 P.M. But after the J.T. incident we had to ask ourselves, “Why should we”.
