went there last week and had one of the worst dinning out experances in a long time.they were taking care of the people who were coming in and putting in orders to go after we did and eveyrone of them got their orders before we did.,we were dinning in.we only had ordered a chef salad and side salad and a hamburg,took 35 to 40 min to get it and try to entertain a 4 year old that long.when we did get it ,the chef salad had turned into some kink of chicken salad with some kind of sause that was so hot and my wife could not even eat it,told the server,which it now appears she could care less and she said she would just bring some cold cuts over to but on it but she never even did that'plus the bottom bun on my hamburg was hard as a rock.i hate not going back there anymore cause we live right by there and I guess there's no reason why should I spend my money there for that kind of service.

Have always eaten the chicken - which is fabulous and some of the best I have ever eaten. Decided to try other items so we had the fried oysters and a catfish sandwich - they were excellent - cooked just the way we like it! The hushpuppies have got to be some of the best I have ever eaten too! Then we splurged and got fried oreos and cheesecake for desert - I can honestly say I have never had fried oreos - but OMG - they were sooo good! THe cheesecake was so tasty too - we were so stuffed and got to go boxes for the leftovers - our eyes were bigger than our stomachs! It was all so good!

I highly recommend this restaurant - staff is so friendly - makes you feel you are sitting down at grandma's - except the food is better - LOL! Service was great, food was great. Can't wait to go back and try the burgers and hot dogs and more chicken!

I can't believe anyone would give this place anything above a 1 star rating. Stopped by and got a large order of flounder filet and brought home yesterday. If I pay almost $13 for a meal, I expect to get a decent meal. Opened the box, had 6 very,very, small pieces of fish. All 6 pieces on a hamburger bun, would not have made a full fish sandwich.(I'm serious, these 6 pieces of fish were no bigger then a credit card and a 1/4 inch thick) 10 hushpuppies, no bigger then a nickel, 4 ounces of slaw, 2 ounces of tarter sauce, and greazy fries. Never, never again. The only reason I gave this place a 1 star, is this review page would not allow you to give it a ZERO....

Seating has soft cushion, not just wood benches. Catfish is the best I had. Going back for chicken next time, people next to my said the best in town.

love the oysters and fish. glad they now offer baked potato instead of french frys.

The decor is nice and nautical and clean . You order the food at a counter and the server brings you the food when your number is called. Service is great and the food is very good. I did not expect the fried chicken to be this good but it is excellent, crisp on outside and juicy inside. The fries and slaw and hush puppies are good also. I will try seafood next time. The only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because to me, being from New Orleans, it would have been perfect if the menu included some smothered greens , red beans and rice and perhaps a biscuit. The prices are great : my son and I ate for around $12.00 tax and drinks included.
