Very unprofessional. Technician misdiagnosed repair first time, had to order a different part come come back a week later. Office qouted $100 for parts and labor, then technician tried to charge $166. He said it was because the secretary read the wrong estimate when she left the message. Then the technician went further to say that I should have known she was reading me the wrong amount because the heater costs more than the thermostat.... as if I am supposed to know that. The owner also told me he would take me to civil court if I didn't want to pay the $166. It was all very unprofessional, he did subtract $20 from labor because of the error eventually, but I would never allow them back in my house again for sure.

This repair co. was assigned to me thru DTE.

Bob arrived in timely fashion, was very cordial, petted the dog, & proceeded to get to fixing my stove. In conversation I learned that I was already his 3rd customer & it was only 9:20 am. He diagnosed & repaired the stove in less that 30 min. It was the igniter .... he had the part & there was no wait time :)

Very happy w the service received.

It is so hard to find HONESTY anymore! As a long time customer, I have ALWAYS been more than satisfied, as well as all of my friends and family that I have recommended. Don't be dissuaded - this is a good company!

Had Christmas Day fridge breakdown, got a quick response the next day (Saturday), repair person not very professional, part had to be ordered, did not leave card or paperwork with company contact info or his name. I had to contact company on Monday, (after locating the number in my caller ID) for status of repair and when to expect service person to return, again not very professional @ office. After one week of no contact and being w/o a fridge had to call DTE ( that is who the warranty service is provided through) and they were told it could take up to two weeks to get the part in. Recieved a call the next day from American Dix stating the part was in and he needed to install that day between 10am and 4pm or I would have to wait until sometime Saturday but not sure of time. Had to scramble to find someone to wait @ my house for him (for 6hrs mind you). This company does not seem to respect the customer or the fact that the customer has a work schedule as well and needs to schedule things out in a orderly fashion. They also should consider providing better communication between the client and the company. Can't comment on price as this was a home warranty repair. Please use with caution and Good Luck!
