The firefighters reception hall was perfect for our wedding. We had about 300 guests and the hall was just the right size and price. And the location was close to downtown Lincoln so there were numerous hotel options close by for our guests. Something that we really like about the hall was that we could bring in our own catering (or even had the option of using their kitchen to make our own food). We had a particular caterer we wanted to use and several places we looked at required us to use and pay for their own catering. The hall had a nice kitchen and serving room that worked very well for our caterer. The kitchen also has a large commercial refrigerator that they let you use. My cousin made our wedding cake and the groom cake and we were allowed to use the refrigerator for those until they were ready to be put out (and the mints, punch, etc). The hall manager was very accommodating to us as well. She allowed us to come into the hall one evening a couple weeks before the wedding and “test” out our table decorations. The hall had several centerpiece vases (of various size and styles) and votive candle holders that were included in the hall rental that we used. She also let us make sure my slideshow worked on their projector. We prepaid several kegs and alcohol and the bartenders were very busy but were very nice and professional the entire night.
