Provided by YPmobileBe VERY careful hiring JD's for home repairs and DO NOT agree to pay them any money up front. They didn't know what they were doing on our repair, even though they said they did. Their mistakes cost us an additional $1000, more than doubling the estimate and their were many days they didn't show up for work with no notice. Jeff seemed like a nice guy and kept "singing the blues," so we made installment payments when asked so that they wouldn't walk off the job. In hindsight we should have let them leave. After we paid in full they did not finish the job and took six months to return the pieces o material they took from our home. We have now hired someone else to finish the job. Very unfortunate because we liked Jeff personally, but he's in over his head and unreliable.
