If you want a trash left all over your property, paint thinner dispensed in your children’s play area, your property damaged and painters who don’t speak English, then please use Benchmark Home Painters. This was our experience using them. Yes, my home now looks nice but the frustration we had to endure to get the final product we were paying for just was not worth it.



A word of advice, don’t expect anything you discuss with Galen to be remembered or listened to. PUT EVERYTHING YOU WANT IN WRITING. Also, ask Galen for a contract that comes in triplicate format. He emailed us a scanned estimate/contract and this came back to haunt us in the end. Best of luck!

Benchmark Home Painters painted the exterior of our old home and barn in Lexington. Galen, the owner, is highly professional and friendly, and his crew very hardworking, conscientious and courteous. Some carpentry work was needed and Galen found a fine carpenter to do this. He was most helpful (and patient!) with my process of choosing the perfect colors, and it was his suggestion that they strip and stain our front door rather than repaint it. We chose that option which proved a true improvement to the overall look of our home. Galen was always easy to reach and accommodating. We were quite satisfied with our experience using Benchmark Home Painters, and have been delighted with the end result.

I had Benchmark Homepainters come in and paint 3 rooms in my apartment and they did an excellent job! Got the job done quickly and efficiently. Galen, the owner, worked with me on testing samples and was an all around great guy to do the work. Made me feel like completing my contract was a priority. I have to admit, I was a little nervous to have workers come into my house without me there, but the workers seemed very professional and trustworthy. Overall very pleased with the result!

With both an indoor job and an outdoor one, the company did a great job. The workers were polite and painstaking; the work was done on time and at a fair price. Excellent work, Benchmark!

Always on time, always considerate, and always fair priced. we have used this company for a few jobs and will continue to do so!

We used Benchmark for repainting our house in Lexington. The estimate was a bit high which turned me off, but we ended up going with them anyway. In the end, they did a great job and we've very happy with the results. Be advised--they can feel like a small company, but when they get started, you realize that they know what they're doing and every time I called, the owner (Galen Wall...Galan?) either picked up the phone or called me back within the hour. All in all, my wife and I made a great choice going with Benchmark and would recommend them.
