In 1982, this business began as a furniture 'strip joint' and antique shop. Through the years, this shop has been known as the Go To shop for furniture refinishing, cabinetry and antique restoration for so many in the Lewisville, TX area and beyond. The shop became available in 2003 and was purchased by Joe and Donna Rogers. In December, 2002, we received the news that Joe's employment, after 22 years of information technology service, was ending due to outsourcing. This could have been the most difficult time of our lives for our family, instead we chose to seek God's will for our future. Without a hint of doubt, we can look back on the turn of events and know that we are where He placed us. This defining time in our marriage and family taught us both to trust and expect God to Do on our behalf. It took letting go of the familiar and opening our hands to receive, thus the name of the business REVIVAL, meaning; the restoration to or regaining of life, strength or interest, (good for furniture and people). In 2004, Joe was called back to IT full-time, thus making furniture refinishing an awesome second job for him and Donna kept the shop hours. For the past 6 years, our desire has been to deliver excellence to our customers whether replacing their Uncle Bob's rocker runners, or completely stripping and refinishing Mom's dining room suite, to custom re-upholstering Granny's 1920's parlor set from the frame out. It is so gratifying (especially for an info tech-y) to be given a task, discuss the procedure, determine the desired outcome and get to work, then deliver to a satisfied customer. We love what we do. We believe in informing our customers of the procedures we will employ to restore their furniture to use and beauty. Most everyone that visits our shop will get the 'dusty tour' and have their questions answered before we ever see their furniture and leave with a close if not exact estimate of time and money to complete their task.
