Beacon of Hope
62 West St, Leominster, MA 01453
Beacon of Hope Community Services has a long history of providing supportive services to individuals with developmental disabilities. In 1987, several parents and relatives of adults with developmental disabilities united and founded the Beacon of Hope. They all shared a common optimism that their loved ones could live at home in a family setting and still receive needed services and supports. The Beacon of Hope obtained a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) non-profit status and provided individuals and their families with supportive activities, respite, advocacy and education until merging with the Kennedy-Donovan Center in 2001.In 2005, KDC reorganized, freeing the Beacon of Hope to restructure itself as an independent non-profit agency. Under our new status, we expanded our title of Beacon of Hope to include Community Services on amendment of our revised missions and goals.
