great wings

I was thoroughly happy with the wings. They were actually really great and I consider myself a chicken wing expert. The only bad thing was the dressing. When I go out to get chicken wings I feel like ranch or bleu cheese go hand in hand. The only reason Im even putting it out there is so someone can fix it. The jerk chicken wings were soooo good and authentic too, so try those!

For starters I'd like to say t...

For starters I'd like to say this is a decent place to eat and the location is AWESOME. I will say it is a little pricy for the wings but I understand why they are, in an average wing place they are a little small and usually you'd have to order 12 to get full, were at FIREBOMB you only need the 6 to get full so the price is fair on that end.

I DO AGREE THE LADIES WORKING THE REGISTER NEED TO BE MORE KNOWLEDGEABLE OF THE MENU, as my first time there I order Teriyaki flavored wings and they just weren't my cup of tea, just gross to me.. Being my first time there the lady whom I placed my order with never ask was this my first time here, had that been ask then maybe she could have explained to me all the flavors and the menu what was good or not. SO my first order sucked, but the owner made it a very well experience as he tried his very best to offer me a better flavor and or replace it with something I would like and he also gave us a free order of onions rings. SO he made our first time all the best. One NEGATIVE ON THE OWNER I WILL SAY is he shouldn't be drinking on the job and catering to CUSTOMERS as his breath was overwhelming strong with beer he had been drink and was still drinking a HUGH cup of it while maintaining the dining area other than that he was AWESOME..

The onion rings we order were WAY OVERPRICED as you literally can count the order of onions rings, which were 5 for 4.69 so we paid almost a buck a ring.. NOT HAPPY WITH THAT, so we won't be ordering that anymore.

The Sweet potato fries is not a good selling item as when I received my order they were drenched with grease, very flimsy and had too much cinnamon sugar on them which I order for healthier reason but the sugar made it that less healthier and definitely not worth the price.

We order dessert and were VERY DISAPPOINTED IN THE SIZE OF THE PIECE OF CAKE FOR 3.99 which as you can see in the picture I posted here was fairly small for the price, so I will not order that again.. I could have made one for less and or bought a whole cake for a few more cents...

45 MINUTES LATER...NO FOOD! I went and ordered at 6pm...come 6:30pm NO FOOD...I went to the OWNER and he act like he was going to fix it...6:45pm me and another customer that ordered the same time did NOT get our food, but people that ordered way after we did were eating and leaving the joint and we still did NOT get our food. I went and asked for my money back, and the OWNER got all defensive. I said, Hey I'm the customer here and YOU are the ones that made the mistake...He BLAMED his COOKS on the problem...They they didn't know how to keep the TICKETS straight. The owner is going to have to DROP that ATTITUDE if he's going to stay in business...THE PRICE is HIGH for what you get or DON'T get....Will NOT be back!

Finally a place to go and watc...

Finally a place to go and watch football, drink beer and eat great wings. Fries are fresh cut from potatoes, not frozen bag stuff. Same with the onion rings, fantastic!!! Fast service and owner is very firendly and attends to your needs. Great place to go with friends and hang out. Have been there half dozen times since opening and it gets better every time. A must go place to eat.

Rick made sure everybody was doing good. Very GREAT service. Also had many flat screen tvs, all with diff games going on. We will be going back in no time.

We tried Fire Bomb Wings tonig...

We tried Fire Bomb Wings tonight and had a great experience. They have only been open for a week but seem to be on top of things. They were very busy when we got there but got right up to order. The wings were very good. There are a lot of options for flavor. The staff was friendly and the owner checked on us while we were eating. The facility is very clean and the bus boy was there as soon as (if not before) people left to clean the table or take extra dishes out of the way. We will definitely eat there again. Prices were great too. The only thing I would suggest (or watch out for as a customer) is ventilation could be better.

Someone mentioned there isn't a scale of how hot the wings are but there is a very detailed description for each sauce so you do know what you are getting.

The location is great and as far as someone saying it doesn't compare to bdubs, this is Leesville and we are lucky to have a great wing place at all. I think it will fit in nicely with this town and Fort Polk.

Must TRY!!

I see a lot of negative comments which in all reality everyone is entitled to their own opinion but in my opinion the owners took this place and turned it into something great. The wings are delicious!! Compared to other restaurants in Leesville this is definitely a step up. I would recommend a lunch special which would benefit mostly the Soldiers who are bringing majority of the business there for lunch time. This restaurant along with Mustard Seed are my two favorites!

Clean place and friendly sta...

Clean place and friendly staff are the few positives this new restaurant has. If you are imagining a mini B dubs then you will definitely be disappointed. It is also neither a sports bar in any aspect. I walked in and felt as if i was in a McDonald's waiting for little children to be running around. They did have a beer selection that was similar to any local place but the atmosphere did not lend itself for me to consider ordering one. Neither did any of the other 20 plus individuals that were there.

Now to the food and the real reason you would ever consider going here. The menu is a bit confusing, without a heat scale you have no idea which wing is hotter than the next. For the exception of the nuclear( which was not available today for whatever reason) I may have had a hot wing today. You would think that a place that calls itself "firebomb wings" would have some hot wings but 7 out of the 14 that I tried were no where near fire, hot, or even mild for that matter. They did have a sampler option that would have made my evaluation of the wings easier but it also was not available.

Wham Bammers - (traditional) very clean chicken taste with a light seasoning no heat no sauce whatsoever but was never supposed to. Probably the best regular chicken wing I had but not something I would eat looking for a hot wing.

Garlic Parmesan - (boneless) even amount of both garlic and parmesan (agreed by all three of my party and the best boneless wing we tried today) but the flaw with all the boneless was way too much breading and way to much sauce. Every wing was drenched in sauce so much so that you barely tasted any chicken.

Sizzlin BBQ kickers -(boneless) (2nd fav) supposed to be hot but only had a light zing towards the end after eating all 6. OK BBQ flavor but still drenched.

Sweet and Sour temptations- (boneless) taste like sweet and sour sauce but no heat whatsoever.

Teriyaki Twister - (boneless) teriyaki teriayki teriayki need i say more gross

Spicey Ranch Suckers - um where the spice go and yes the ranch sucks well if you wanted some chewiness with you order of ranch.

BBQ Smokers- (boneless and traditional) both were drenched as the standard but the traditional was better.

Fresh Cut Season Fries - please please don't waste your money I'm begging you. These fries were in no way made to order. Came out cold and soggy but was the standard since everyone else had the same look. Also didn't see anyone finish them either.

Mac& Cheese- if you think my warning for the fries was bad. WTF. Just imagine making Kraft mac n cheese at home (powder type) cook it and leave it there to get warm. You know that dried sticky glob it becomes. That is what you get here. Should be removed from the menu. Oh it has bacon but don't fall for the trick unless you want 2 little squares of it in the bottom of your cup.

So overall I gave it a 2 star because I have become accustomed to the standard that is LA and especially Leesville. So I got what I expected. Didn't give it a zero even though I considered it because this place has potential to really be a great spot. If they worked on their sauces and make their menu much easier to follow "heat scale preferably".

Oh and just fyi owners you need to cut trees right next to you restaurant. You will double your business because if any soldier is like me once you pass a spot its too late to turn back.

After seeing one of their flye...

After seeing one of their flyers I was very excited to try out this new wing restaurant. I'll start out by listing some of the positives and negatives. I will give each category its own rating so you can have a better idea.

Location - 5/5: The location is excellent for soldiers or families living on Fort Polk. It's nice to have a wing place less than 5 minutes from home.

Cleanliness - 4/5: Overall was very clean although it took some time for tables to be cleaned. I watched a family leave after eating and their trays did not get picked up for about 10 minutes. Since the setup is relatively the same to the setup of a fast food joint I would see no reason not to have a couple of trashcans where the customers could throw away food on their way out.

Pricing - 3/5: The pricing is about the same as a Buffalo Wild Wings or a Wing Stop.

Service - 3/5: It is pretty much self service at Fire Bomb Wings. Once you place your order with the cashier you get your own drinks, find your own seat and pick up your own food. The cashiers were not very knowledgeable with their own systems and should probably been trained more before opening the restaurant. Again, there were trays that were sitting on tables for a while before it was cleaned.

Food - 2/5: The food was disappointing in my opinion. The menu misleads how the food tastes so much. I had tasted 7 different flavors today during my visit. The teriyaki and sweet/sour flavors were very heavy and over powered everything. I only ate 2 of each before giving the rest away. Yes it was that bad. The parmesan garlic and "wham bammers" were the only ones that tasted like what the menu said they should taste like. I enjoyed those very much. The seasoned fries were exactly the same as Wing Stop's just A LOT more saltier, too much salt to say the least. The mac and cheese with bacon looked and tasted as if they were from a Easy-Mac from the store and were sitting on the stove for an extended period of time. My recommendation would be to focus on all your sauces they weren't so "fire bomb".

Environment - 3/5 : The environment wasn't to bad at all. 6 flat screens throughout playing all the NFL games in HD. I could see it getting a bit crowded because the tables were so close together. Did not really feel like an actual sports bar though. I didn't have that urge to buy a beer and sit and finish the game. It was more like a come in, watch the games while eating wings, then leave" In my opinion, it's not a place to hangout, drink and watch the games. It is a plus that they serve beer though.

Overall I rated this place a 2/5 star rating just because the food was so disappointing. I understand that it just opened not even a week ago, but the first priority is to make sure that the food will keep customers coming back. Hopefully, this review can give you a good idea of what Fire Bomb Wings has to offer being almost a week old.

This place would do very well if they had better tasting wings for sure.

Thanks for reading and good luck to you.
