Worst place ever. Non licensed personnel calling themselves nurses. Rude, never return calls. My opinion is call the medical board and insurance company. The public has a right to know whats going on her. sub-standare care. Star rating should be a minus 10.

Goods and bads just like MOST ...

Goods and bads just like MOST places.

Good things

-You can get in with a doctor even if it is not your doctor same day you call, with there being 13 family care dr's someone is always open!

-They offer labs, xrays, mammograms, bone densities, IV infusions all in the same office! not many places do that

-Not only are there 13 primary care there are also 4 pediatricians, 2 podiatrists (foot dr), 2 endocrinologists (diabetes, thyroid) & several other specialties within the building, dermatology, renal specialists, cardiologist, physical therapy, hand specialist, rheumatologist, pain management, orthopedic...

-Not the whole staff is horrible you just have to know WHO to go to for help

-Billing is not an issue...you just have to UNDERSTAND your insurance & that you have deductibles...co-insurance etc. & billing is not to blame, the doctors put their own charges in.

Flaws

-Yes it is hard to get through right away on the phone, calm down 10 minutes won't kill you. If it's an emergency there are hospitals for that.

-Parking...hit & miss come 8-9am or 1-2pm & you should be fine...any other time it can be chaos.

-Some of the doctors are pretty mediocre

If you don't like to wait or are impatient you should see the following dr's

Cooke, Cantu, Rajan, Tang, Tharp Speediness in that order

If you don't mind the wait and want everything addressed...multiple problems

Brannen, McCree, Newman, Kloeris, Le, Caryl & Benjamin Guillermo

Yes some dr's do fall behind...but what people don't always understand is that they're not the only patient & someone could be coming in for a "cough" but behind closed doors they're like oooh wait I have this issue...I need this...I need that...THAT puts the dr behind. Also if you are LATE which many people are...that also puts a doctor behind. Dr. Le does run behind but he has good reason he is also a radiologist & all the other 12 doctors are consistently stopping him to read THEIR xrays...so yes that delays him...but he will see ANYONE.

Have feet probs definitely see Dr. Briggs he is very efficient, kind and very knowledgeable.

Dr. Sim is an amazing pediatrician.

This is all I have for now, may update more later.

I wish I had looked at the reviews in here before going to this clinic for my medical needs. Been there twice already, averages 2 hours to see a family practice. The doctor just has no time to spend with you, may be 5-10 minutes, I was rushed and my questions were not answered. I will not go there anymore.

This place is nuts. When you call for an appointment, you must give them a reason why you are seeing the doctor. if you have 2 reasons, they want them both. If you have 3 reasons then they tell you only 2 reason per visit. "I should tell a office girl that I want to have the doctor check my privates. GIVE ME A BREAK

Texas Gulf Coast Medical Group...

Texas Gulf Coast Medical Group Webster TX.... Please I wait at least an hour to see almost any Doctor there. I wonder why they don't pay us to wait. They may want to reconsider how many patients they book in a days time. We all want the doctor to answer all the questions we have and take time with us but consider that in booking your patients please. Who wants to be sick and waiting an hour for these doctors.

Excellent

I have been going to this facility for several years with a chronic disease so I go every three months, minimum. There is a large waiting room but there are many doctors and I have never waited more than 10 minutes past my scheduled appointment and never more than 5 minutes in the examination room. My doctor talks to me as long as I have questions and gives me an excellent examination every time I see her. NO COMPLAINTS. The front desk is competent and the billing department is very competent (which is VERY important). In the lab area, I have NEVER waited longer than about 10 minutes. If I have an immediate problem (rare), I have been able to squeeze in on 24 hours notice to see my doctor. Everthing about this facility is first class. Other reviewers must have some kind of ax to grind.

DON'T GO THERE!: surgeons Dr. Lugo and Dr. Yo are only in the business for the $. Dr. Lugo took my stitches out after only 4 days (I went in for pain, but he failed to read my chart thought it was time for stitches to come out) I told him the wound was infected "No, that's not infection, it's just dead cells sloughing off" but the culture taken 2 days prior to Dr. Lugo saying that came back as a staph infection. A good dr (Lugo isn't one) could tell if a wound is infected or not. Years later, I'm left with an ugly scar (thank God it's on my scalp, under the hair) thanks to "Loogie" (a large slimey glob of spit). Dr. Yo examined a wound on my leg, poked a hole in it, charged me $70 and said "Come back in 2 weeks" (so he could get another $70) that wound was infected also, and you don't tell a diabetic to go home with an infected leg and come back in 2 weeks! Yo Yo is my name for him...they're ALL IDIOTS AT Gulf Coast Medical Group! DON"T GIVE THEM YOUR TIME OR MONEY!

Just another number

You will wait FOREVER for your doctor in the exam room with nothing to do. The he/she will rush in, give a quick diagnosis before you even completely explain the problem, and throw a prescription at you before sprinting out of the room. This is just a money making operation. Don't expect anyone there to return a call to your pharmacy or another doctors office, either. You will have to call Gulf Coast Medical Group and leave 4 or 5 messages to get them to communicate with anyone else.

Wait to be Waiting

When your appointment is at 9:00am, you arrive at 8:45, sign in and at 10:23 you hear the following, "Dr.______ is running two and one half hours behind schedule. We're sorry for the inconvenience, have a nice day..." well that is the sign of one screwed up system. Never have they made my appointment on time since moving to the new facilities. Accounting is just as screwed up. Every one with a co-pay knows you have to pay before you even get into to see the Dr. You've paid your money, so you sit. To make matters worse, six months later you get a bill for your co-pay with a nasty note saying final notice. You know you paid. NEVER EVER NEVER THROW AWAY A RECIEPT FOR YOUR CO-PAY OR ANY OTHER MONEY OUT OF POCKET. When I showed up with the reciept for my husband's co-pay they decided that yes the co-pay was paid this was and insurance co-pay. WHAT????? Even our insurance has never heard that one before! Still fighting this one. Was told I have to get documentation from the insurance company sent to them. Good luck on that one. Wonder how many pay just to avoind the hassle. Been with Gulf Coast 20 years. This new office and system are the worst ever. Ladies and gentlemen, this is just a hint of what socialized medicine will be like.

Do not go there!

There is nothing good about this place. You wait forever like cattle then you sit forever in the room. They did not have any results and still made me wait. I have to ask why it was taking so long. Only then did they admit to it. They still charged the co-pay. 2 years later I still get statements saying I owe this co-pay. Very rude!!

Referral department sucks!

There is a lady named Gaby! Totally lazy her and her staff do not submit referrals to appropriate office, if you call they never return phone calls, if you in person they make you wait and tell you that they will see you when they get back from lunch. I had to wait for 3 hours before to see these clerks, because that is what they are... they are not doctors they are just people who are supposed to fax over referral or type the info on the computer and hit the send button but they can not ever do that. LAZY!!! I complaint all the time to management but they don't do anything either.
