Great Theatre and value pricing

I tend to watch movies when I like, not when they come out. Rarely do I enjoy going to a crowded theatre for a first showing. When I have, I've been disappointed in the movie, the crowd, the showtime, ... it just doesn't work with me. I do, however, enjoy going to a show that friends have expressed favorable interest in, especially when it's a sports movie (I'm a sucker for these), comedy, action and (I'll admit this) a well made animated feature. I go to the theatre at least twice a month, and sometimes as often as twice a week. When ther are good films, you can't stop me.

That's why I really love the GTC Town Center in Lawrenceville. I will admit I was a little skeptical when I first heard that Town Center was becoming a dollar theatre (about 10 years ago) but they have cleaned up the theatre and the managment does a great job of getting nearly new films (typically 6 to 12 weeks after their first run). That may too late for some, but with four sons and a wife who loves comedies and chick-flicks, I really don't have a problem hitting the theatre once the critics have had their say, adn my friends have suggested just the best films of the month. It's good to save a few buck too! But it's within two miles of my house and there are plenty of nearby places to pick up a light dinner before going to a 7 PM show.

If you like films, are on a budget, and live in Gwinnett County, this is a good choice.
