Everytime I visit Salvatore's I always have a great time and a great meal. a few days ago I went with my boyfriend and we ordered from the lunch menu. Both of our emals were well prepared, Our server wsa very friendly and polite. And the bill was very reasonable. We were actually suprised on how inexpensive the meals were.

The meal served to my Dad tonight was below subpar. We chose to take him here after a long ride from his home to ours leading to Christmas. We were given time to look at the menu, no problem. The choices were many and he chose because he does not eat pork chops at home and decided this would be a good meal. The chop received was thick, dry, hard to cut and hard to chew. We watched as he sawed and tried to take a piece to chew from the leatherly piece. The first time the waitress came through and asked how things were I slowly said things were OK. I then tried to take a piece for myself and had trouble chewing it myself and I am some 30 years younger than him. The next time the waitress came to us I said the meal given him was not acceptable and showed her that even trying to get a fork into it was hard. She took it back to the kitchen ( I believe) was told that more than half of the chop was eaten and that was too much to have a consideration of replacement or having it taken off the bill. Yes it looked like half the chop was gone. It was my trying to see if there was anything we could manage to eat easily. Then when she stated deserts on the house we reluctantly said OK, then oh her mistake, only one desert on the house. A manager not even from the kitchen area came over, to no satisfaction to me, he stated he will pass on the concern, and yes all deserts for free. I will never go to that Sal's again, and I will not tell any one to go there and will especially tell them of my unprofessional visit. Free deserts do not take the place of a supposed juicy, easy to CUT and eat piece of supposed $18.00 meal.
