The Lawrence Fire Department is dedicated to the protection of life, property and the environment for those who live, work, visit or invest in the community of Lawrence, Mass. It delivers fire suppression, public fire education, emergency medical and code enforcement services. The Lawrence Fire Department operates from six locations in Lawrence: Ladder 4 along Broadway; Engine 5, Ladder 5 & Rescue along Lowell Street; Engine 6 along Howard Street; Ladder 7 along Park Street; Engine 8 along Ames Street; and Engine 9 along Bailey Street. The department also conducts arson investigations. It has more than 140 firefighters, with the majority working in the fire suppression division. The Lawrence Fire Department headquarters and dispatch center is located along Bodwell Street in Lawrence.
