I will never go else where for a vet. Dr Johnson and Staff are amazing! I have a dog and cat that I bring to them. I am going to give two examples of their care. 1) My cat, Bella loved loved loved Nerf Darts and of course at the time my 11 year old son had them all over the house. which Bella was thrilled with, Until one night when she was projectile vomiting and it turned really bad. I brought her instantly to Johnson's and with limited funds they did what they could and watched over her so that I didn't have the fees of surgery, they kept her over night I think maybe 2 nights watcher her closely let me come in and visit her and gave her yes an enema (which I would never do on my own LOL) she passed the tip of a Nerf dart until it was passed we were not 100% sure what it was. They were amazing with her. 2nd time was my 13 year old dog Chloe Oh my poor Chloe was diagnosed Diabetic. they again worked with me closely to try and regulate her sugar. Unfortunately with her age and the extent of her diabetes it was just to much for her, while in the care of my neighbor she collapsed and I had to rush home rush her to Johnson's where I had to make the decision to let her rest as hard as it was. the problem was I had an appointment I could not miss so they allowed my Chloe to stay with them while I went to my appointment and come back that evening to proceed (Sorry I cant say it I still miss her). when I got back they had made her comfortable and they brought her into a private room where they let us have time with her and say goodbye, They were amazing.
I now brought a new girl into our lives and she now goes and they are great with her. She HATES her nails being cut no matter where I go. I finally brought her down to have nails cut (normally groomer does them), we (groomers and myself) thought she would need to be sedated but nope they did amazing she wasn't happy but she was done in 10 min. opposed to 1/2 hour. simply awesome care!

STAY AWAY - you will not get quality care here!

This place is over-booked to the point where emergency cases only receive scant treatment. The vet overlooked problems with my cat ("everything looks OK") when in fact the cat was bleeding internally.

The staff is RUDE, unhelpful, and prone to "drama" - if there were one of those hidden camera shows that focused on vets - THIS would be a prime candidate.

There are better vets in the area. Your pet deserves one of them.

Deadliest Vet

Here is a copy of a letter I wrote to Dr. Johnson following a traumatic visit to his office. His response was "find another vet". HEARTLESS!!

Dear Dr. Johnson, I just thought I would let you know all the things that transpired in your office after I spoke with you on the phone regarding Boomer’s tragic office visit. When I went back to the office to say goodbye to Boomer and pick up my carrier, I was greeted by very sympathetic front desk staff, who whisked me rather quickly into a room. I was then approached by Corin, who I was expecting to be upset by the accident with Boomer; unfortunately, she showed no remorse and was unapologetic as to the events of the day. I was fully prepared to be consoling to her, even though I was the one losing a loved one. She then explained to me that I needed to sign the authorization for euthanasia and checkmark if I wanted Boomer’s ashes back. She also explained that since he nipped at me in front of you, that “we will need to send his head out to be tested, because he was behind on his rabies vaccination”. First of all no one ever asked me if he had his shots elsewhere, which was a possibility as Petco often has Rabies vaccination clinics at discounted rates. Secondly, Boomer didn’t even draw blood when he nipped at me. Then if the trauma of hearing that my sweet cat’s skin had been ripped from his body when he was already having pain from illness wasn’t enough, I get charged an additional fee of roughly $16 for all this anguish. All of this was done prior to my being able to see Boomer. I was stunned, but since I had limited time due to an appointment elsewhere I paid it so I would be granted a viewing of my cat. I was then able to see Boomer, wrapped tightly in a towel, which I am sure he loathed; I made my goodbyes and then had to leave. I realized that no one had bothered to bring my carrier back, so I had to go back in to get it. I cannot even imagine at the doctor’s office that I work at asking for more money from someone who paid well over $300 for testing, only to have their loved one injured. We would write off the visit and any associated fees in a heartbeat. To have my pet injured by one of your staff members, and have ME pay for the pain medication is unconscionable. If it is state law that “HIS HEAD” (thank you for THAT visual picture) be tested then perhaps that should have been the ONLY fee, but to nickel and dime a grieving patron for $16 extra dollars mortifies me. Your assistant Corin should not be allowed to speak to anyone who is undergoing a similar situation, as she appears to have no sympathy or compassion for others, not to mention the fact that she should not tell people that their pet will be decapitated, especially after she skinned him while he was still alive. In retrospect I found that to be troubling, as I had asked her to support him by the feet because he didn’t like being touched elsewhere. Perhaps, she could have said, “He was behind on his rabies vaccine, according to our records, therefore it is State law that he be tested.” Can we possibly leave out the fact that it involves chopping up my pet? No one wants to hear words like that, especially when they came to you for help in making him feel better.
