I had a bad experience at this place. I won't be back.

It is nice to have a place for us "old geezers" to enjoy drinks and conversations without having to deal with all the younger "twits" that seem to overtake all the bars in Lawrence.

I love the wine, the martinis and I love the "old geezer" 70's music!

Six Mile Tavern is a bar attached to the "Famous Dave's" BBQ joint in town, which is fitting, since it's a generic, mediocre place, much like the food available next door.



I stopped in with a couple of friends just to check the place out, since it's relatively new, but we left after one round of beverages. The evening we were there, the clientele was a startlingly older group, mostly people in their 50's and 60's; not that there's anything wrong with that, but we weren't too enthusiastic about hanging with the geezers on a Friday night. There also were a few too many leering older men, and after an unwelcome offer to to buy us drinks, we bailed.



There's a Salty Iguana and Johnny's Tavern in the same plaza if you're looking for a bit of food and a few drinks.
