Established in 1987, Quail Run Elementary School is spread across an area of more than 15 acres. It serves over 400 students in kindergarten through grade six and is located in Lawrence, Kan. The school offers special classes in art, music and physical education. Its art program encompasses the areas of art production, art history, art criticism and aesthetics. The school s physical education activities focus on locomotive skills and object manipulation. Quail Run Elementary School also provides transportation and food services and is managed by Lawrence Public Schools, which is one of the largest school districts in Kansas. The district serves more than 10,000 students in over 25 campuses and has nearly 1,700 staff members.
